While there's good reason for this being likely that she is keeping it at the lower courts so the conservative justices don't make things worse, let's not pretend that the liberal justices on the SC are all great. Remember they were in unanimous agreement last year that they didn't need additional ethics oversight.
I feel a good rule of thumb is "if this otherwise liberal justice did something that sounds suspect, there's probably a reason behind it."
this is nonsense talk95 voted in agreement. 58 voted against it. 38 voted present, and 22 simply didn't vote (joined by four Republicans).
Wait, isnt the AnimusYes. There's been previous mainline games that have had no modern outside-the-Animus gameplay, only cutscenes or not even that, little brief interludes.what causes the historical, live simulations? So everything outside the Animus wouldonly be present day gameplay?
The modern day story is what kept me hooked on the series, until 3. After 3 it was clear they had no idea where to goA good portion of that is because the "father" of the series left during the development of Brotherhood. Then he went to THQ to start a new historical franchise, THQ went under and Ubi bought his studio... and fired him again. He went on to create the game Ancestors: A Humankind Odyssey which is an odd title about our evolutionary ancestors survival.
I mean, did anyone like....love the modern sessions?I actually liked the ideas of the content in the RPG trilogy more than the execution, to be honest. There's a lot of interesting concepts and while I haven't finished all the DLC for Valhalla, it's probably the most lore-heavy of all of the games up to that point, and does a lot to tie together the existing lore while spot-welding its own new stuff on. Shadows didn't have any modern day outside of stuff about the Animus Hub and some anomalies with it, but with the next title they're supposed to be building more up to something else within the modern day.
I think they have their defenders, but after AC3 they kinda hit a wall to the point they spun their wheels. AC3 seems to lead to something with Desmond, only to kinda shut down and completely forget its plot to the pointthe big bad villain who's released with Desmond's death is literally killed on in a tie-in comic and the modern sessions just become increasingly less interesting.
I had to read this like 3 times before my brain realized what you were saying. Im assuming there was some sort of Star Wars promo in Fortnite?
I didn't know that. Seems like kind of a prick move to be honest.
Watching ep 9 nowThe speech he made announcing his return was, I kid you not, broadcast in Fortnite. And only in Fortnite. It's not in any books, not even in the movie novelization IIRC.
Definitely better than 8 so far. Somehow I never heard that the emperor makes a return with a ridiculously huge fleet >_>
ok, Kylo using the force toteleport the lightsaber and cut Snoke in half was pretty cool
unless this is all some dark side mind trick to confuse Rey
I thought admiral hot older lady might end up being a traitor, but she was a true hero. Her character pissed off a large chunk of the base; and while I'm generally on the "TLJ is a top five Star Wars film" person, her earlier segments are pretty terrible and it's easy to see why people hate her.
I didn't see "Surprise! You're Dead!" by FNM on that list. It's been posted three times there in the past day, highest is #116 on the list (which I just screenshotted the first twenty five hottest posts)
Looking up that song, goodness that's a lot of recent comments.https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/8/83e3b2ab.jpg
So, he ded?Unfortunately not.
It's literally not. It's been Defcon 5 all week. It's at Defcon 3 right now. Dominos experiencing a 200% spike, two closed, two quieter than usual, one at normal activity. Dominos was up 222% when I checked about 45 minutes ago.

You guys really should confirm these things before going full conspiracy theory.
JJ says "I had no intention to return,"
The script for VIII is written. Im sure rewrites are going to be endless, like they always are. But what Larry and I did was set up certain key relationships, certain key questions, conflicts. And we knew where certain things were going. We had meetings with Rian and Ram Bergman, the producer of VIII. They were watching dailies when we were shooting our movie. We wanted them to be part of the process, to make the transition to their film as seamless as possible.
Rian has asked for a couple of things here and there that he needs for his story. He is an incredibly accomplished filmmaker and an incredibly strong writer. So the story he told took what we were doing and went in the direction that he felt was best but that is very much in line with what we were thinking as well. But youre rightthat will be his movie; hes going to do it in the way he sees fit. Hes neither asking for nor does he need me to oversee the process.
Go back and read the link:Just because she was told this happened doesn't mean it was actually true.

Im still waiting for the reveal that the Knights of Ren are somehow evolved from Sabine Wrens clan. Lol.They're not. They've been detailed pretty significantly in the comics. The TL;DR is that they're a dark side cult, used to be big news but haven't been big in a long time. Vader encountered them, and Luke and a young Ben fought them as well. Their leader is Ren, and they hold in high esteem a lightsaber that is also named Ren.
In TFA?Not directly in TFA, no. There's a brief card with the planet's name on it before it's destroyed IIRC. All the stuff about it being the current capital comes from material before and after the film, and I think in a couple interviews as well.
Not calling bullshit, I just don't remember where it was mentioned.
It bugs me that they decanonized certain things that WERE confirmed canon before. Clone Wars 2003 (ok, technically de-canon'd pre-Disney, but it still pisses me off) and The Force Unleashed come to mind.Neither of those were "confirmed" Canon at any point. Prior to Disney wiping the slate, the old Expanded Universe had a five-level tier system of what was canon, top level of which was always just the movies. The second tier was made just for TCW08, the CGI series. The third tier was what encompassed most of what was left, with the fourth tier being stuff that was old and not really referenced any more, and the bottom tier being stuff that was non-canon, either deliberately designed as such like What-If projects and gag stories, or retconned away by newer material.
Its been a long time since Ive seen Solo or Rogue One (since they came out in theaters), but does Solo have any actual story threads that are mentioned or followed up in Rogue One or Andor? It doesn't. Solo is entirely separate from Rogue One and Andor. There is content that spins out from Solo into other media, however.
But IIRC he got demoted because he destroyed a drednaught. He didn't get demoted because he destroyed a dreadnought, he got demoted because he defied orders to do so and lost a lot of invaluable people and materiel in the process - a pyrrhic victory that didn't need to happen in the first place.
people almost never mention the inane casino planet that looked like worse cgi garbageFunny you mention this because pretty much all of that that wasn't like the casino interior itself was actually shot in Dubrovnik, Croatia, like right down one of the main streets of the city and a few of the side streets as well.
Thanks for all the well wishes friends! Really appreciate itAlright dude, what'd you do for your birthday today? Had a few setbacks in plans today with some places closed, but ending it with some decent live music isn't too bad for a weekday birthday.
The Death Star is so big if it existed in our galaxy we would see it on the horizonThe first Death Star is 160km wide, or about 7% of the radius of our moon.
Im curious. Does the franchise ever detail about how long it takes to get from a more central system to somewhere on the outer rim?Depends on source material. The oldest RPG books and a couple of the 90s novels pegged it as days to weeks to cross the galaxy. Those were always... secondary at best to the films, which largely run travel time as speed of plot, but still rather short. So like in the original film, we see them travel from Tatooine to Alderaan. Tatooine is in the Outer Rim, while Alderaan is in the core. Taking what we see in the film as is, without handwaving a bunch of extra time that isn't really implied elsewhere (except in the aforementioned RPG material) it doesn't seem like maybe more than an hour or so passes. In Empire Strikes Back, if we take a comment literally, when the Imperials are searching for the heroes while they're hiding, one says they "could be halfway across the galaxy by now," in yet again a very brief period that couldn't be more than a couple hours.
WTF? I thought Disney owns FOX now? Wouldn't all Fox stuff be on D+?Disney owns 20th Century Fox, which is unrelated to Fox News. And because they already had sports through ESPN, they had to get rid of Fox Sports.
As the death toll from flash floods in Central Texas climbs past 80, scrutiny is mounting over Kerr County's past decisions to reject an outdoor siren alert system due to cost concerns.
Kerr County, located in a flood-prone region of the Texas Hill Country, has previously dismissed proposals for siren-based warning systems, citing financial burden on local taxpayers.
A recent effort at the state level to bolster emergency communication infrastructure, House Bill 13, failed in the Texas Senate earlier this year. The bill would have funded improved disaster alert systems and provided grants for counties to build infrastructure like sirens and radio towers, according to the Texas Tribune.
Some lawmakers, including state Rep. Wes Virdell, voted against it due to its projected $500 million cost, though several now admit they're reconsidering in the wake of recent events.
So then what is it?It is the Force.
And why did Lucas use the term lightning? He doesn't. Force lightning is more of a general fandom term, because the attack resembles lightning. In the Mace v Palpatine fight commentary track, he just calls them rays.
One good lightning rod and it wouldve been over with.Force lightning is not, and basically outside of TFU, has never been depicted as, actual electricity.
That may be true, but I still think Palpatine is a pretty weak bitch that Mace Windu couldve Forced through that window if it werent for Anakin. He's not weak, though. Like, Snake and I have both pointed out quotes saying literally the opposite.
Plagueis was a master of all seven lightsaber forms, being able to move at light speed, and would have easily outclassed Sidious in a one on one lightsaber duel, through Palpatines own admission.Literally no Force user is able to move at light speed.
My problem comes from which one had the most raw power and mastery of death and the force. A lot of Palpatines power is political.Again, not true. Yes, Palpatine holds a lot of political power, but I literally posted multiple quotes saying he has enormous power in the Force. Even Lucas said he's stupidly powerful, though I don't have that quote on hand, and in 2005 Vanity Fair interview said that Anakin would have had the potential to be twice as powerful as Palpatine.
