There's an indie game called Capes that is basically grid-based combat, XP to level up, and each hero having team-attacks which turns combat into a tactical puzzle of sorts. It's a bit like XCOM with the RNG removed. There was a subset of people that wanted Midnight Suns to be a bit like XCOM and Capes might appeal to them.That looks pretty cool. Put it on my wishlist.
