Yes, I'm gay, and I haven't stated my religious beliefs because they're not relevant to this. I am not debating because I, myself, was offended. I'm debating because it IS found to be offensive by many people. In fact, it seems that the majority of the people who have posted here seem to be offended in some way.

Quite frankly, all I'm asking for you guys to do is apologize for offending people. But you're refusing, which makes my simple goal much harder than it should be. You refuse to understand that the joke is offensive. You refuse to believe that people were offended by it. You refuse to see the big picture, relying solely on 'it was just a joke'.

Regardless, rather than just let the joke topic die under the opposition, he sought to defend himself. It's like telling a racial joke to the topic of the joke. It may be funny to the teller, but it has unintended offense to the listener. In which, the joke teller should simply apologize and move on.

Rather, you should stop posting. Intent to hurt is apparent when you know the risks. For an extreme example I could point a gun and fire it. According to you, any person hurt by it shouldn't have been in front of the gun in the first place, thus it is their fault. According to me, it is the gun-holder's fault for firing the gun in the first place.

Lucid, for all your 'awareness', you haven't addressed my points. You speak of being open-minded, but you still refuse to respect the religions. "As I said before, I'm not going to change just to suit your lifestyle and your beliefs, religious or otherwise." I take that to mean you're not going to start acting more mature.

Fact: People believe in God.
Fact: People deserve the right to visit message boards without be directly offended.
Fact: By calling God fictional, you have directly offended these people.
Fact: You refuse to cease AFTER ADMITING that people were offended, despite not being your intention.
Fact: This is called trolling as you knowingly engage in activities designed to irritate other people.

I'm only asking you to stop. This is a board to discuss Pokemon in a (pseudo) serious manner. Discussion of God in any form not including as an adjective (i.e. godly) is off-topic. Even the Lumbert threads have more staying power than this due to the fact that they at least don't insult people's religions.

Rhydon is CLEARLY the more useful Pokemon. After all, its the only one capable of learning a competitive moveset without utilizing TMs or breeding moves. Golem comes in second, but only has Explosion over Rhydon. But Rhydon has Megahorn.

Aggron just blows. That sexy defense is nothing with TWO physical 4x weaknesses.

It's not my problem that you're that insecure in your beliefs that you get offended over the most minor of jokes. I'm not going to change my posts and my opinions just to fit your lifestyle. Sorry.

Since when have I even STATED my beliefs? My religion and faith are not up for discussion. They are not important for this topic.

What IS important is that is that you've moved from what might have been intended to be a harmless joke into a form of assault against the religion.

And guess what, you're not only insulting Christianity. You're insulting Islam and Judaism as well. They believe in THE SAME GOD. Only represented in different ways.

And it's called tact, by the way. Wording your phrases as to not cause insult to any listening parties. Those without maturity don't care for it. Obviously, this topic has ceased to be a joke, though it was never a good one to begin with. I'm not asking you to change your lifestyle. I'm asking you to show people a little more respect.

Calling God a fictional character is not moddable. Insulting anyone who believes in God is what's moddable.

You don't understand at all. By calling God a fictional character, you are indirectly insulting everyone who believes in him.

Logic has everything to do with the subject, which is whether or not it's proper to continue to insult/offend people once you realize you're doing it.

Salamence never carries Hidden Power Ghost. Ever. That takes away from Hidden Power Flying. Sure, you can go with Aerial Ace, but then you have to sacrifice Brick Break. So, no.

To the Topic Creator. Regardless of whether or not you intended this to be a joke topic/non-religious topic, merely stating God as a tangible character makes it religious. Because of that you have (perhaps inadvertently) insulted the more religious members of the boards. I propose you lock and/or delete this topic at once.
