Only episode I watched was where some people had shot a porn movie in the gap toothed guy's place, and they had a party while trying to keep it a secret from him. Other than the plot completely being taken from an episode of HIMYM, I found nothing even funny about it.

That was a terrible episode. If I have one complaint about the league, it is that the humor sometimes is too sexual and not funny.

The League is an FX sitcom about fantasy football starring several standup comedians. It is written with a loose script and heavily improvised.

It is excellent whether or not you play fantasy football, but especially if you do.

Are those all correct?

Everything except for the V chord for Am; it's the only tricky one in this set. Remember that in the harmonic minor, everything is the same as the natural minor except for the 7th, which is raised a half step, so you end up with:

Giving you A-C-E, D-F-A, and E-G#-B.

Uh we do have mountains on the east coast you know. And a lot of the parts where we don't, we have skyscrapers which work the same way.

To be fair, the Appalachian mountains are dwarfed by the Rockies and most other mountain ranges.

Warm air rises?

Warm air does rise, but as it rises the drop in atmospheric pressure causes it to expand, lowering the temperature, similar to how a bottle of compressed air cools as it is released.

This morning, it is eleven degrees warmer on top of the mountain than it is at the bottom.

But, the reason it is cooler at higher altitudes is due to lower atmospheric pressure, not an inability to retain heat from the sun.

Also, the difference in elevation I'm referring to is only 2000 feet. There should only be a one minute difference in sunrise for every 5000 feet, so there's no way that difference would cause the temperature to vary by anything but the very slimmest margins.

...and if sunrise is experienced earlier enough to cause the temperature to surpass the temperature at the base of the mountain, shouldn't the reverse be true at sunset, at least to some degree?

I would imagine that in a 40 story building, the sun would seem to rise almost simultaneously.

I was just skeptical that a 2000 ft elevation difference would cause the sunrise to be delayed enough to cause a noticeable and significant difference in temperature.

Then, a town on the western side of the mountain would be colder in the morning than all aforementioned locations, correct?

But, the mountain I'm speaking of is located north of the bottom I'm referring to...

Do higher elevations see sunrise earlier?

I have been trying to figure this out since 8:00 AM, and I still can't find a satisfactory answer.

But colder at the top of the mountain during the day and a night?

My point was, is the "natural state of the world" a good way of determining what a "right" is?

The natural state of the world allows for parents to abandon or even outright kill their babies even after they are born. This is not uncommon among animals and was an accepted practice in many ancient societies.

The natural state of the world also allows for people to kill each other when they are angry at each other.

they are the natural state of the world. naturally we can all do anything we want unless something else stops us from doing it. we choose to limit those rights by entering into a civilization, and what rights should be limited and in what way is the framework for every discussion we have on the matter.

The natural state of the world is for a collection of cells to eventually become a person. Abortion interrupts this process, thus taking away the (eventual) person's right.

I'm non-religious, against abortion, and don't eat meat.

Right, these protests aren't to "raise awareness" so much as they are to organize and formulate an agenda.

Obviously "raising awareness" is not the goal but merely one of the first steps.

I don't think the protesters are trying to get the corporations, politicians, or media to do anything; that's why there's no list of demands.

The only things they really hope to accomplish right now are to raise awareness of the issues, let their presence be made known, and remind people that government exists by consent and for the good of the people, not the other way around.

In a democracy, the majority has the right to create legislation for their own benefit, but right now the majority of citizens are allowing the powerful minority to systematically influence policy in a manner that is harmful to the sustainability of both our society and our planet.
