Nothing to mock when I have a good top 5 and the official top five is garbage. Sure my list is weighted to one genre but the official top 5 is weighted towards one band that isn't even very good, while being rounded out by hipster music and LOLKanye.

I don't know why anybody would make fun of my top 5 when 1: It's awesome, and 2. It doesn't contain 3 albums by a single band which doesn't even deserve more than 1 album in a top 50 rock albums list.

Show Robb would be a worse king, I think, than book Robb, because book Robb at least had honor going for him while show Robb is both stupid politically AND dishonorable.

Heh heh, sorry. If it makes you feel better, a few others found the games easier than normal as well, so maybe they were just up your alley. Most seemed to find them harder, though, especially the middle two (****ing work shifts problem).

My test also had three LR's, none of which I'm worried about. There were a few uncertainties for me in RC, so probably a few misses there, but it was the games that were killer. I don't know what happened but it seems like I was guessing on at least 5 questions, maybe more.

(spoilers just in case, though I'm pretty sure there is no additional evidence which emerges after where you are)
A lot of people believe the Queen of Thorns actually did the deed, as she adjusts Sansa's hairnet shortly before the poisoning. She was probably colluding with Littlefinger and Dontos in order to save her granddaughter from marrying a monster. Whether other Tyrells like Margaery were in on it is uncertain.

I'm taking it as well. Practice tests have ranged from 174-179 on the recent ones (post-2000, which harder critical reading and easier logic games) so I'm hopeful about doing well.

Sam: Zombie Small Paul comes back to try and kill Sam; the dagger doesn't work for some reason,
Small Paul was a wight (dead human turned into a zombie), not an Other (deadly ice monster that is not simply a zombie human). The dragonglass dagger killed an Other but as you just saw the same magic does not seem to apply to wights. That or maybe it has to touch the skin and Sam only hit armor.

Yeah, I know, but Battlestar Galactica is #20, and also sounds interesting. I haven't played Twilight Struggle yet, no.
Hmmm...how to convince...
Well, one thing that's nice about TS (and probably explains its ranking) is that it mixes a lot of different elements together very successfully. On the one hand, at its core it operates like a card-driven wargame, with cards being played either as generic operations or to carry out specific events. Where it was innovative is that you often have to trigger your opponent's events in order to do things yourself, so high-quality play comes down to how well you can manage a neverending series of crises. In addition to being fun, this perfectly evokes the theme of the Cold War.
In addition to the wargaming elements, though, there's also Euro-style area control, a bit of deck-building, as well as some degree of bluffing/misdirection like in a traditional card game. All of this is done while integrating very well with the theme so that the game has a lot of atmosphere if you're a history buff.
Plus, as far as modern board games go, it's very good at mixing relatively simple mechanics with enormous strategic depth.

More specifically, does anybody play wargames? I've been looking for some opponents in things like Twilight Struggle, Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage, and other high-quality wargames, but opponents are woefully hard to find aside from the super-experts on Wargameroom.com.

Well, I definitely TS, and if it counts for anything it has the #1 rank on BoardGameGeek, beating out literally every other board game in existence. Have you played it at all before? If you have we should play over at WGR.

No, we hate unions because the vast majority of them are public sector employees who exploit their electoral influence over office-holders to get incredibly cushy job and pension benefits that bankrupt the state. California's teacher union is almost singlehandedly responsible for the state's broader government issues and has taken its schools from among the best in the nation to just about the worst.

Currently now that school is done I'll be busy trying to get myself onto Cracked, but go ahead and put me down as somebody interested in more information. I've played a motley assortment of sports games over the years and could probably write a hilarious retrospective on NFL Quarterback Club '99.

Or should I just get UMvC3? 2 is cheaper and has a slightly more interesting-looking roster, but there's not much point if 2 is completely dead online.

If the only reason you do something is because a law tells you to, then you're really not much of a human being. You're far too much of a coward to count as one.
Being a law-abiding citizen is not the same thing as "only doing things because the law says so."

Ike solo runs into the same problem of most solos, which is that it's a combination of dullness (moving one units isn't very strategic) and the horribleness of that part in Ch. 17 where Ike has to carry Leanne and gets his stats halved.
Some run ideas:
No restarts Rest run (Units must take a chapter off for every chapter they participate in) Females only (not that hard if you can clear the early chapters with just Titania) Bad units run (Bastion! Geoffrey! Tanith!) No buying items (I have no clue how hard this would be, though I suppose the late-game could basically be an Ike solo) No staves

When a law is justly created and is not manifestly unjust itself, following the law is a moral imperative. There is no equivalent moral demand that one pay a lot for something given away for free.

If you pay a cent knowing you're costing them more money than if you pirated the stuff you are absolute scum.
Why? I don't pirate because I care about the law and property rights like all good citizens should. If developers are going to be silly and give their stuff away though, I'm going to take advantage of it. If it's so horrible to only pay a few cents for something, maybe they should, I dunno, charge more than a few cents.

Hmmm...it's a shame Bastion has to be the bonus game, as it essentially means that it costs over 7 bucks. However, it'll probably go for 2.50 on Steam soon so I guess I'll just pay one cent for the others and wait.

Depends on the gauge, shot, choke and so forth (choke exchanges spread for effective distance). Plus, in real life a lucky pellet can still hit somebody right and kill them at a greater range than the regular "effective" distance.
A 12-gauge with high choke can probably be "effective" all the way out to 50 yards or more.

Personally I prefer a slightly jollier Rains song. It is a minstrel tune played at feasts and such after all. Like, I can't imagine Tywin listening to that song three times in a row, when I believe that exact sort of thing is described as happening.
