should discount all votes by people who aren't board 8ers/you don't recognize from previous matches tbqh.

Have considered doing this. Going through several of these "new" users with help of a few places and discovered that this is their only post on Board 8 ever. With that, Uncharted WOULD be up 39-38 if I did that.

Haven't thought about this because no one's ever rallied in any of these contests ever.

Pokemon Black/White becomes the first top seed to fall in this tournament, and badly, I might add. Pokemon's performance is barely better than Mortal Kombat's, as Portal 2 thrashes the DS hit 29-11 to end round 4. Portal 2 faces Batman in the finals, which should be pretty epic.

58 matches later, we finally get a bout of epic proportions.

After mowing down his first three opponents, Batman finally had his hands full for the first time in two years as Ghost Trick was giving Gotham's detective all he could handle. It took a small comeback for Batman to tie it up 19-19 and take the match into overtime. There, it looked like Ghost Trick was going to pull away and get the upset, but Batman powered through and was able to hold GT off for the final few hours. Arkham City advances to the final four with an OT victory of 29-27, making the final score overall 48-46!

On the plus side for Ghost Trick, its solid performance against Batman will boost itself, Catherine, and Saints Row 3 in the X-Stats! >_>

Pokemon B/W has shown signs of weakness in the past two matchups against Kirby and Rayman, while Portal 2 has made easy work out of Dynasty Warriors and Mortal Kombat. Can Pokemon overcome its weak performances, or does Portal 2 send Valve to the final four for the first time since 2004?

Eh, why not. I'll try to compare the whole shows. Make things interesting.

Souled Out, SuperBrawl, and Uncensored are all still bad ppvs even when using the whole show and don't compare to the Rumble, No Way Out, or WrestleMania.

April: Backlash vs. Spring Stampede
Backlash had a great main event topped with an appearance by Stone Cold Steve Austin. On top of that, we saw a good IC title bout between Jericho and Benoit, a watchable match with Eddie and Essa, a fun (if only once) hardcore title match, and Trish getting powerbombed through a table. Oh, and Edge and Christian hinting at a heel turn, as well as Bossman and Buchanan's team going places.

Spring Stampede was WCW's attempt to reboot a lot of things, as everyone was forced to give up their belts a week earlier and tournaments/battle royals were held to determine new champions. Jarrett defeated DDP to win the World title, Scott Steiner defeated The Wall, Mike Awesome, and Sting to win the US title. Shane Douglas and Buff Bagwell defeated Harlem Heat 2000 and Ric Flair/Lex Luger to win the tag titles. Terry Funk defeated Norman Smiley to win the Hardcore title, and Chris Candido won the Cruiserweight title in a battle royal. Only problem with all of this was that this ppv was chock full of matches that lasted less than 5 minutes. Jarrett/DDP was the only one to go into double-digits. Oh, and Mancow should never wrestle again.
Winner: Backlash

May: Judgment Day vs. Slamboree
We already know about the main event for Slamboree, but the rest of the card doesn't seem much better. Steiner and Hugh Morrus battled over the US title, while Chris Candido dealt with the Prince knockoff for the cruiserweight belt. Hulk Hogan used his completely horrible overbooking powers to beat Billy Kidman. Also, a Mike Awesome/Kanyon match ended with interference by nearly a dozen superstars. There were a few good things; the Stasiak/Hennig match was watchable, as was watching Terry Funk continue to win hardcore matches. And the triple cage was fun to watch, even if it was a joke. But it still doesn't compare to the awesomeness that was Judgment Day.
Winner: Judgment Day

Great American Bash vs. King of the Ring
King of the Ring's good moments: Kurt Angle being a boss, Shane McMahon taking a good bump, Tori getting put through a table, and Crash Holly saving everyone from being ripped off
King of the Ring's bad moments: The Hardcore title match before Crash's interference.

Great American Bash's good moments: Chavo vs. Disco, KroniK squashing Italians, Scott Steiner beginning his face turn by beating his brother and Tank Abbott, and Kanyon's heel turn
GAB's bad moments: Goldberg's heel turn, the entire human torch match between Sting and Vampiro, Hogan again burying Kidman of all people (he even cheated to win!), Hogan AND Flair both in matches where their careers are on the line, Booker T being "GI Bro"
Pretty sure the bad outweighs the good here.
Winner: King of the Ring

KotR 2000 was the beginning of the long-drawn out end of the McMahon-Helmsley faction. With Tori powerbombed through a table, she wouldn't be seen on TV again until October, when she slaps X-Pac silly at WWF New York.

And with KotR out of the way, it's time for the June edition of WWF vs. WCW!

King of the Ring's main event: Rock/Brothers of Destruction vs. Trips/McMahons for the WWF title. Decent enough match.
Great American Bash's main event: Jeff Jarrett vs. Kevin Nash for the WCW title. To make things completely silly here, Konnan, The Cat, Juventud Guerrera, Rey Mysterio, and Disco Inferno all had roles in this match (referee, announcer, belt-holder, bell-ringer, guest commentary). To make things even sillier than that, Jeff Jarrett retained the title after Goldberg turned heel, beginning one of the worst heel turns in wrestling history, let alone WCW's.

Soooo... Zelda > Dark Souls > Skyrim? I totally disagree with that, but I'm not deciding the outcome of the matches here. Skyward Sword was able to slowly pull away from Dark Souls in the final few hours, winning 21-14 and getting a matchup with Uncharted 3 in the final four. This is only the second time a Zelda game has made the final four in these contests.

Mortal Kombat led 3-1 at the beginning of yesterday's match, and then it was all downhill from there. Portal 2 gets a very convincing 27-9 victory and will face Pokemon Black/White in the Elite Eight, which begins with today's match!

Actually does STEPH ever get challenged for that big shiny belt.

Besides when she loses it in the late Summer, she was forced to defend it in (I think) June against Lita on either Raw or SD. However, Tori was the guest referee and she powerbombs Lita, giving Steph the super easy win. Speaking of Lita, the time period between JD and KotR is when Lita ditches Essa Rios for the Hardys.

And now that you've watched Judgment Day, it's time for another monthly entry of WWF vs. WCW!

Judgment Day's main event: An awesome Iron Man match between Rock and Trips for the WWF title. Also featuring HBK and the Undertaker!

Slamboree's main event: David Arquette vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. DDP in a triple-cage match for the WCW title. The triple cage match concept was both awful and hilariously awesome at the same time (basically, it was a pyramid-cage with the title on top; a cage-ladder match, to be specific), and it was also part of WCW's way to promote their all-time classic film Ready to Rumble, featuring David Arquette and this exact triple-cage match. Oh, and did I forget to mention that David Arquette was the reigning world champion going into this match?

Long story short, Jeff Jarrett wins his second world title when David turns heel and screws DDP over. Then Mike Awesome powerbombs Kanyon off the top of the first cage.

The only good that came out of David's joke reign was that any money he made in WCW was contributed to the families of Owen Hart and Darren Drozdov (and possibly the Brian Pillman family, but I'm not sure).
