I can't remember the last time Ferrer was a favorite to make it out of the quarters unless it's one of those super-random events like the one Isner won (almost won?) last year. I don't even think he's a favorite to clear the semis at most Masters events.

I'm aware of his allergy, but that game was like having a service break sandwich shoved down his throat, and he managed to gag it up and not get sick.

Then manages to crumble in the 5th. It's like him and big Ivo try to outdo each other in bed-s***ting. Quite the contest today, as neither could have broken a faberge egg when it mattered.

Yeah Sheamus isn't really above it anymore. He's basically turned into a Dolph Ziggler or a Jack Swagger WHC-- just took longer for it to sink in than it did with them.

Honestly I think they should've had Booker or Goldust (can still do that with Goldust I guess) take it a while. It'd be pretty interesting.

Money is on Ted to take it though.

Not sure I'd compare Sheamus to either of those 2 quite yet. Do you remember what Jack Swagger did after his reign? Yeah, me neither, cause I never watched Superstars. Sheamus seems like a guy they're keeping near the top constantly so they can shove him wherever they want in the card should a need arise. Cody has certainly elevated the IC title, and I think that's more of why Sheamus seems close as opposed to fading away.

Sorry to get back on topic, but there seems to be a huge discrepancy between the Mark of Mastery in BBS, and 3D.

BBS: Basically like a purple belt test in karate: quick demonstration of skills, and some light sparring.

3D: Grand f***ing adventure with life-risking and probably multiple world-saving, despite saving the universe 2 or 3 times already.

I try not to support GameStop, but like when I tried to go to Target to get UMvC3, they didn't have it, hadn't heard of it, and continually tried to sell me "Marvel Superhero Squad". Once in a while it's that kind of thing that bites other retailers in the ass, and forces me toward the game store monopoly. Luckily Best Buy exists.

Oh god, I read one so many years ago on an OoT fan site. Not sure it exists anymore but I remember it being damn good. It had to be like 10 years ago though. I can say it has existed, but unfortunately can't confirm it now.

Yeah, prep makes Doom nigh invincible, and poor writing/necessity makes him job to dumb people. Peak Doom doesn't job to any Spiderman. I guess if you want another argument, i can think of multiple ways Doom wins, and none for Vin. Hell, being on Mags' level is justIfication enough. Vin is simply outclassed by the good doctor.

As resident Magneto fanboy I know that Victor is essentially 1-1 in his encounters with Magneto. Magnus may not manipulate metal the same way Vin does, but he does it exponentially better. So splitting the career series with Erik is enough justification for me to put DoomIS winning. The only way Vin would ever beat Magneto is if he died laughing from someone trying to manipulate metal against him.

Even if it's argued that Vin is magical while Mags is straight electromagnetism, Doom's magic is crazy. Strange himself has said he could be the Sorcerer Supreme if he weren't so damn evil.

Any complaints about Apex were probably true. I'm currently flying back to Oregon because today was just supposed to be top 8 for Brawl and I wasn't making top 8, and I start school tomorrow as well as restart my job. All we got through yesterday was first round pools. I flew 3000 god damn miles to play one round of pools because they couldn't come close to running an efficient tournament. Plus all the other stuff that's probably been mentioned by other players from most games.

The tournament was so bad I have literally retired from all competitive Brawl. F*** Apex.

My fiancé read the books and was waiting for the 8th movie, so I did the same thing you did to go the the premiere. I think my tastes in the movies are more or less the same as yours. I was excited to see how it all ended and thought I probably enjoyed DH2 the most. Meanwhile she has _____ gripes about _____ movie because it was different in the book(s) and I just look at her and usually go, "I thought it was neat."

Obviously I'm an actual pro at SSBB, but I can't touch my level of play there with any "combo fighter". I have a lot of fun playing my favorite characters in certain games (Magneto, Sagat, etc.) but outside of reading and spacing I can't do anything. I'm just so bad with combo systems and the like that it's a quick ceiling for me
