Daniel Bryan lost the ghost Hardcore title to Sheamus @ Wrestlemania XXVIII. Sheamus then lost the belt to Mark Henry a week before Extreme Rules thanks to Daniel Bryan, but won the belt back the following SmackDown.

I like the other ghost Hardcore lineage better when The Blue Meanie takes the title to the independent circuit! That version is currently held by Carlito

Time to address some needs for next season

- Crawford should spend some extra time in the summer working on his game. Overall he had a good year but he still needs polishing. I believe he can be the guy but get some more help so you don't let in softies at critical times

- Hawks need to get a dedicated penalty killer. In the Cup year Madden was pro and Sopel was willing to get blasted in the face to block shots. We lost that last year and it definitely reared its ugly head this season.

- A quality 2nd line Center. Doesn't have to be a goal scorer but should at least be able to create good opportunities for Sharp and Hossa as well as keeping the puck in the offensive zone. Kruger is not the answer. We also need another good winger so we're not stuck sticking guys like Brunette with Toews and Kane but a center comes first.

- More physical play. I thought this was addressed this season with guys like Carcillo and Mayers but we just got beat up all the time. Patrick Sharp should not have led the team in hits this series against Phoenix. The series was over as soon as no one sought retribution for the Torres hit.


With that said, congrats to Phoenix. Normally I'd support them going on to win the Cup but that means Torres gets his name engraved so I just can't.

The officiating crews from both of these games should be canned. The incompetency is amazing.

Especially the Hossa hit. You have FOUR officials on the ice, one of them is literally staring at Torres as he delivers the hit, and nothing?


BTW if Torres doesn't get at least 10 games I will explode. I probably hate him more than any other NHL player.

Thank god the Hawks won. Cannot believe Shaw got a 5 minute for that, even if Mike Smith didn't embellish any of it. I will say Shaw should have just banged the board given how close Smith was to the wall, but he clearly was trying to avoid contact with Smith.
