We could always come back when we get gil. Best for Rikku, but Rikku isn't a priority.

Current priorities IMO

A) Topple Link and dismantle his administration while replacing it with something better before the end of the year
- B) Destroy the Mako Gear factories before... the end of the year? Christmas?
- - C) Move through the sectors to get closer to Link / Leave sector Seven & access Sector Six
- - - D) Overthrow, ally, or find a way around Vercetti & his organization to reach Sector Six
- - - - E) Unite the factions, empower one or two factions, or ignore the problems of Sector Seven (scummy Snake) to disrupt or gain a bargaining chip towards Vercetti

From here, it's mostly my opinion the order:
- - - - - F) (LORE, INFO) Discover who the mysterious leader is behind Al Bhed, what he knows, what Odessa's connection is to Meryl and Colonel Campbell, and why the factions are the way they are
- - - - - - G) (MISSION) Aid Canderous Ordo in his mission against the Anthros. How we go about it is still undecided. We have three days.
- - - - - - - H) (SUB-LEVEL) Procure money, make social links, and explore Sector Seven

Building up a relationship with Rikku and Yosuke just to build them up shouldn't be a big thing. I definitely see advantages to the market with Rikku (meeting shopkeepers, learning more about stores, mild discussion about why there's a "No Al Bhed" marking on that store, maybe getting free stolen goods) so I definitely see why it has merit.

The Marketplace isn't a bad idea, but going there just to build up Rikku and meet Yosuke's not the best reason.

- Back to the Persona 4'd guest room.
- Wait, Battler's trapped in the closet room when Battler's outside having fun and Battler's also likely leading the proceedings? Or is GM Battler trapped in the fog? Or is it future Meta Battler back in the past because a riddle he created stuck him there? Huh? Good, eerie music though, and a very nice cutaway fromt he joy of CHOPSTICKS ZOMG
- So there's a bathroom in this room, too. And easy place for someone to hide before murdering Hideyoshi. But how would it fit into the first game since Hideyoshi was in this tub? Or would the first game's killer be in the closet? Or perhaps even outside the door making the markings? HAs it ever been said in red that there's only one murderer? Shannon and Kanon or Rudolf and Kyrie could a be a team >_>
- Augh, the window is like the Super Mario 64 piano. Get too close and it grows teeth and eats you.
- O_O STRANGER DANGER!
- Oh you know this slime-covered person? WHO IS IT?
- Ack!
- A Cheshire smile in the darkness... it's the Homunculus from FullMetal Alchemist!!!
- GOAT TEETH!
- Ffff, this game is awesome.
- Guesthouse renders guest rooms obsolete.
- Can't hear what happens from the guesthouse to the mansion and vice versa, though not yet in red.
- Hey hey Beatrice. Long time no see.
- I'm proboably remembering incorrectly, but didn't Battler say he'd never heard of Beatrice in the first game when looking att he portrait for the first time? Or just enver seeing the picture+epitaph before?
- Fff... bumping into gold butterflies... ;_; Poor Shannon.
- That story about the servant who fell down the stairs again? That's got to have some relevance? A cover for Kinzo? Someone who found out the truth about Kinzo and had to be covered up? One of Kanon's or Shannon's friends who did something or found out something and was elimainted? Revenge for the servant or all a part of the plan? Or is it just a story?
- So the accident happened right on the staircase by the portrait. Hmm...
- ....HELL ****ING YES!!! The Scorpion Charms are back!!! I LOVE THIS GAME.
- And Shannon with the spiderwebs again. This all feels so familiar. I love it.
- LAst game it was all about logic problems. Now it's a nostalgia trip! Love!
- With no one before Beatrice, a golden butterfly appears. Woo!
- Damn Beatrice is unnerving. No cackle or swagger or nothing.
- Through the looking glass... turning the chessboard over
- This is the place Bern and Lambda took Ange to once upon a time.
- ...o_O The painting... it's... gone?
- Schoolgirl Beatrice?!
- She looks a bit off...
- Okay. So this Beatrice is a different Beatrice from the regular Beatrice, but was also featured in the second game? I think? ...Can we get back to the cup riddle?
- So this is Kinzo's Beatrice, the one that existed before the game with Battler.
- Wait, now we're in the past? Okay... so... why would the mansion have such an ogly looking un furnished wall right there? I surely thought Kinzo had taken out a row of windows or something for the portrait.
- The shrine!!!!! No doubt we'll see Natsuhi's mirror pop up too!
- Alright, throw some mascara on the artwork and she looks normal again, =P

- Hey there Erika. Hey there Gohda. Oh, dinner already ended? Did you eat Maria's rose again this time?
- Battler relieved to have someone else garner the attention
- lol Erika discussing what a perfect time and place it is for a mruder mystery
- So, Battler being a sucky GM/bored GM or Ange/Featherine bored? Who do I credit to skipping past all the pre-dinner shenanigans?
- Mystery genre is dead. Alright, let's go home everybody!
- I can understand the romance genere. How many romantic comedies are going to come out year after year that are essentially the same? On the other side of the chessboard, action movies are the same.
- Erika: "You must be such an avid reader, I cannot compare to you!"
Battler: "whats a book"
Erika: ò_ó
- It better be Penny Press.
- KA-WIIIIIIIIIZ TIME!
1. Name all 108 stars of Suikoden III in reverse alphabetical order?
2. How many instances and iterations of Hollywood & Vines were used throughout Lost's entire run?
3. What have I got in my pockets?
4. With no wings, I fly. With no eyes, I see. With no arms, I climb. More frightening than any beast, stronger than any foe. I am cunning, ruthless, and tall; in the end, I rule all. What am I?
5. Why did the dead baby cross the road?
- So, yeah, Erika. She is totally Blaine the Mono. No doubt she's going to be falling apart due to errors in logic later.

You have one large piece of cheese. A single slice with a knife can split it into two parts. So what is the lowest number of slices you can make it cut it into eight parts?

- George acts like everyone else who knows the truth in this game. He'll stand off to the side as we try to figure it out for ourselves.
- lol Battler can't solve nothing. It's obvious what the answer is! You wouldn't need to cut because there was a bomb in the lasagna.
- It's one cut, right? Folding the cheese and slicing it the right way?
- XD. "Huh?" Slice through the middle, slice across, and slice down. Didn't think of that. But cheese is thin, so... uh... meh.
- Yeah, I thought it was one too.
- Hell yeah! Wait... now it's the shape of the cheese?! ...So... my folding it doesn't work? o_O
- Who cares if they're equal size? What's gonig on?
- Oh, of course. They're Japanese. They don't instantly picture cheese as a slice of Kraft cheddar. Which is probably why I thought cutting it in half was a silly thought. It's so thin!
- Hell yeah Battler! Sliced cheese FTW!
- ooh, red graphic for accordian style (which I thought of when they discussed slicing through the middle! I R SMRT!). Does this matter later? Obviously since cutting the cheese is more important than pre-dinner shenanigans.
- XD Magic cheese that can only be cut by a knife. Who's want to eat that rubbery ****? It can't be broken by chewing or stomach acids or anything! **** magic cheese. I'd rather have cheese that can be blowed up real good.
- Another dimension higher than three? But they were folding the cheese. A fold. The third dimension. You're both thinking in three dimensions, one of you is just thinking of ****ty cheese (hint: the ****ty cheese is inedible rubber)
- XD Erika talking abotu the witches' games and Battler clueless. Erika so dumb

Three cups and six coins. One coin in one cup, two coins in another, three in the third.

- Yeah, I don't see the riddle.
- Only, five?! Hmm... Oh! Stacking cups? No, that doesn't work... no, it does! Two coins in one cup, then a cup with one coin inside another cup with two coins. That cup hads two + the one in the other cup! Hell yea.
- Erika already an ass, and everyone knows it!
- XD XD XD Chopsticks.
- Erika <3 <3 <3's chopsticks

Did this Sunday, didn't post it because there wasn't much. But since the scene changed one scene later, let's start clean!

Yep, almost a week. ANGE, Playthrough Killa.

- A ring, a pipe, and some mascara and Beatrice is Beatrice again.... for no time at all.
- Natsuhi still doing the cover-up.
- Hey! Ship captain! woo!!
- Shannon and Kanon about to get it o- oh the gutter. My mind's stuck in the gutter tonight. I blame Erika and her unexpected cleavage!!!
- Nice! hope this is a big Kanon/Shannon/George/Jessica episode. They're unused pieces half the time, but when they're hot, they're some of the best portions of the episodes.
- So, while my earlier theories were that Kyrie/Rudolf killed everybody, Kanon/Shannon could've done it out of love betrayed. Maybe George or Jessica did something that made one (or both) of them snap and kill everybody. Maybe Eva/Natsuhi did something? Yeah, Natsuhi's overprotectiveness of her daughter could've sent Kanon into blood-boiling rage, turned his eyes red, and he slew everybody. Or maybe it was Shannon. Who knows? Only the Shadow knows.
- Yep, Shannon or Kanon killed everybody. It all starts with that one golden butterfly...
- Gohda, Kanon, and Maria's first meetings with Battler. I'm doubtful of Maria, but she was three the last time he came.
- D'awww, Kanon
- XD, Kanon, s'whaaaaa? Awkward compliment time!
- Yoshiya! Jessica and Kanon are awkward and cute. This is just the weirdest conversation ever so far in all these episodes.
- lol Milady Jessica, =D
- Names are sacred. Beatrice is sad. Battler's game is all about wish fulfillment, calling it now.
- Ffff... more Ange.
- You know... if I wasn't sure that her eyes were closed, those would be the most evil black-eyed glare ever.

"I was born for Father's sake."

- Kumasawa becomes Virgilia once again!
- Buh. So... they're reading the game Battler's made, Beatrice is introduced into... just the tea party so far? And Ange is reading the game as it happens and Beatrice shows up inside where Ange is to read about her past self before going into the game that ange is currently observing. ...Makes sense.
- Ange is Beatrice too?
- Who's that coming out of the water? Is this when Beatri... oh it's just Erika and how she turned up in the last game.
- Thankless to her life jacket furniture. NO HEART!
- So we're moving past all the introductions, hand shakes, and rose searching right away? Typhoon's already up?

Ffff, I had a big outline typed up on every choice, but it got eaten up by a mistype. Oh well, it's probably for the best.

Still waffling between A, E, and G. I want them all to get done and I expect we can easily get to them in the next three days, it's just a matter of what takes priority and how Rikku influences it because I'd want to take her along for now.

Marketplace:
+ She knows people, we meet Yosuke, she knows the best places to shop (and to steal from).
- People know her, we might get tagged as Al Bhed (which could work in our favor for Al Bhed-leaning markets but not for some like Tom Nook), we'd likely spend most of our time at Junes with Yosuke instead of better browsing and meeting new people, she might fail at thieving (or get us chased out of shops). I'm likely worrying too much about her presence.

Anthros:
+ We don't have to tell her why, we learn more information about them and the dissension between clans, we explore the area, she can show us amateur parkour, we may meet or see various Anthro characters that we may want to have on our team or to stay away from (I still really, really want Tails if he's there), less conspicious with her around
- We might have to tell her why and keeping her out of the loop could hurt her in three days, Anthro characters may see/smell us, they may peg us as Al Bhed by our association to Rikku (though it's likely even without bringing her, they could smell the Al Bhed stink on us)

Odessa:
+ If Odessa kicks her out of the room we don't get blamed, we learn more about factions/Vercetti/mysterious Al Bhed Leader/her ties to Campbell and Meryl, best chance for another infodump, learn more about Ordo, Amir, and Jax as well as other Al Bhed character and possible leaders of the Necro and Anthro factions
- Rikku probably wouldn't like going back to Odessa's, Odessa might not kick her out this time (unlikely), if left to herself she might hear gossip about Ordo in the cafeteria and want in, Odessa might not be in her office at this time (not sure if that was a thing), nothing proactive

Talking with Odessa is a big priority, but it can also wait until this evening without losing anything. The Marketplace and Anthro trip would be somewhat different environments in the evening... though I'm just remembering we're under a giant metal plate so daylight doesn't really factor in to the mood of the environment or getting a better look at things.

I wouldn't have said this last time, but I think going to see the Anthros with Rikku is a good move. Best way to gather intel for the immediate side-mission, we learn more about the state of Sector Seven, and we may meet potential allies. Markets casual value while Odessa's an infodump we shouldn't delay too long, but can put off for one or two more chapters without Rikku wanting to be around.

Chapter 9

"Hey Rikku," said Snake in his gruff Dan Hayter voice, "I'm going to go meet up with Odessa. Care to join me?"
"SQUEEE! WHY YES SNAKE I'D EVER SO MUCH LOVE TO FOLLOW YOU ANYWHERE BUT ONLY SO LONG AS YOU TAKE ME ALONG EVERYWHERE WITH YOU FOR THE NEXT MONTH FIRST AND BUY ME TONS OF PRESENTS THAT MY BOYFRIEND NEVER EVER NEVER GETS ME AND-"
"SHUT IT, RIKKU! YOU'RE... you're hurting my nanotechnology. It's very sensitive!"
"Aw I'm sorry Mr. Snake!"
"It's okay, kid. Let's go see Odessa."

Snake opens the door to Odessa's room, and stares at her ass. "Meryl..."
"SNAKE!" Odessa screams, "Why are y-"

MWIS comes over and snaps Mana's crayon in half and points his finger (with accompanying Ace Attorney music) to the green pastures full of rainbow-colored equines.

XD, I've been sigged!

And still so true

The lack of festivals and events is what turned me off to Tree of Tranquility. I like the cast of characters and the layout of the map, as well as the storyline and tasks, but there's a serious absence of life. Festivals may keep you from making money, but they keep you interested in the town and provide a wonderful break from the norm. Easter Egg Hunt and Horse Races FTW. And there's no game like Harvest Moon 64 where you can just walk into an area, see a random cutscene you don't know how you triggered and may never see again, and just continue on your way.

The worst thing about Harvest Moon 64 is getting married. Only because everyone else gets married and conversations stop evolving and no one goes to the bar at night.

Ending, sure, I get why people enjoy that. However, as a whole, Season 6 sucks and the lead-up to the ending is just terrible storytelling.

Butt hat's besides the point. Lost is awesomesauce throughout its run and I can't wait to see your opinion on the things to come and new characters that pop up. Don't see why people are hating on Jack. Yeah, he's got a bit too much screentime, but he's not completely annoying.

I just ran over stuff. Got terrible exp but whatever

More satisfying, no? Nothing quite like leapfrogging your way over to the stupid rocket troopers and then pouncing them.

I like to imagine Shepard being like "kawaii desu-desu! Huggles!" And then they're dead.

XD

I did that for the first time on those critters in Virmire. It was rather pleasing. I should be doing that more often as a Renegade =P

Some people do genuinely enjoy the Mako, Mega Mana. Myself, I've come around to the point that I'm mostly just ambivalent about it. I've gotten pretty good with the thing too, so that helps a lot.

You won't find much agreement here on Board 8 or even GameFAQs in general, but on the BSN? Yeah, there's a damn appreciation thread there somewhere.

Maybe it helps that I never fight with it except the Maws or whittling down turrets/walkers.

I usually get out and do all the fighting on foot =D

Is it wrong that I enjoy the Mako? I'm playing through ME1 for the first time (just finished Virmire, but still dealing with the aftermath to continue playing) and I enjoy traipsing about the planets with the Mako. There are some planets I definitely never want to go to again because there are steep slopes everywhere, but some of them are pretty fun.

My favorite thing about the Mako is when it takes fatal damage while you're out of it and when you get back in it randomly flies up into the air or way off the map so it falls forever and doesn't get a killscreen =P

So hyped and then it's something I've already read. Should've expected because you lost the votes. No problem with that. YAY VOTING!

A: Go to the marketplace with Rikku.
- It'd be nice to look around, but we have no cash. We could be doing better things with our time. Plus, the last time we got a look at the marketplace, IIRC, there was a big tent with a "No Al Bhed" sign. Tom Nook's place? We'd probably want Rikku to come along just because she knows the area and we could subtly see if her thief skills are up to par, but bringing her to Nook's wouldn't be good. And again, no money.

B: Go to the marketplace without Rikku.
- Advantage: Meeting Tom Nook and maybe learning more about the Anthros. Tom Nook could be a great ally since he's likely a strong businessman with a great deal of market strength. Disadvantages: We want to build up relationships and kicking Rikku to the curb for no reason would suck. We have no money. Tom Nook could be an even worse enemy since it's likely he has higher ties, especially to Vercetii or possibly even the Link Administration... which doesn't hurt actually if we go to him. Still, no cash and no Rikku. Not yet. Maybe tomorrow.

C: Go to Seventh Heaven with Rikku.
- We shouldn't go back to Seventh Heaven so soon. Not after the poker game.

D: Go to Seventh Heaven without Rikku.
- Even worse.

E: Ask Rikku for directions to the Anthros' park; travel to the park with Rikku.
- Best not to let her in on it yet. Going there is a good move to survey the area, but showing our face might mark us later. We'll see.

F: Ask Rikku for directions to the Anthros' park; investigate the area without Rikku.
- Dick move.

G: Attempt to speak with Odessa in Room 101.
- We need more information from Odessa. Not just on how she knows about Snake, but who she's working for, her relationship to Meryl, and more information about the factions and conflicts. Rikku's obviously intimidated by her so she wouldn't like coming, and if we take her, we don't really want her privy to too much information (yet).

H: Ask Rikku where to find Jax Briggs, and attempt to speak with him.
- Dick move to Canderous, but another viewpoint would be nice to have.

J: Attempt to gain access to Vercetti's headquarters with Rikku.
- Oh how I miss Oddity XD

K: Attempt to gain access to Vercetti's headquarters without Rikku.
- We should totally do that.

I'm leaning between A, E, and G. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages, but likely give us the most gain. C & H have higher risk with no tangible reward; they could be great options or they could be wasted time (or worse), so they're out. We need to stay quiet right now so going to hot zones for little reason is a bit absurd. I'll think more on it before July 10th.

Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

#13. Friday Night Lights (2006-2011)
NBC, Drama
Choice Song:
Clue: An atrociously bad season.

- Sadly, no Season 1 intro theme available, and I'm not linking Season 5's.

Friday Night Lights is a show about a small town and the people living in it. Football's a big part of it, but in the way that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is about slaying vampires. It's more about the characters involved and how everything is woven together than just going to State. The first episode contains spoilers and a surprise I don't want to talk about without knowing every single person reading here (*cough*justManiac*cough*) has seen it first. And since it's integral and impactful to the story, it'll be tough discussing the show. It's akin to the first issue of Thunderbolts or the fourth episode of Lost, in my opinion.

Eric Taylor is the high school football coach in Dillon, Texas, a small, rather poor town where one of the biggest businesses is a car dealership and biggest love is the game of football (after church). The Dillon Panthers and their successes and defeats are the lifeblood of this place and Eric Taylor leads that team on the field every week with his coaching. And, again, football's a big part of things because it's a huge part of this town. But that's not all.

Eric and Tami Taylor are the best written married couple in television. Their chemistry is amazing. They have each other's backs. They do not bicker over every little thing (though when they do, it's either really important or hilarious and awesome like driving to the airport). They raise their kids and they're active in the community. Tami Taylor's counselor at the school and later principal so she interacts a lot with the students. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton are the upper-echelon of acting, IMO, and should have won Emmys by now.

Quick rundown of the townsfolk. Jason Street is the star QB and his cheerleader girlfriend Lyla Garrity is an eternal optimist and spiritual soul. Loudmouthed Smash Williams and drunkard Tim Riggins butt heads constantly, but Smash is a hardworker who wants to provide for his family and Tim's got a hard life and has tons of bad luck. Matt Saracen probably has the worst time of anyone since his dad's in Afghanistan, his mom's dead, he's living alone taking care of his grandmother who has mild dimentia, he's not very popular, and he's the back-up QB. He does all of this without complaint. The load on his back is huge, but he carries it strongly. He's also fond of the Coach's daughter, Julie Taylor, who is a typical teenage girl. Landry Clarke is Matt's best friend who is amazing even though he doesn't play football and his band is... yeah, Lance's amazing. Tyra, Buddy Barrity, Billy Riggins, Mindy, Vince Howard, Luke Kafferty, Tinker, Jess, Becky, J.D. McCoy... there are so many people who come and go and stay forever.

Not really sure what to say... two things I need to address...

1) Heroes is not on this list, nor will it ever be. I have the first season of Heroes on DVD still sealed in my desk drawer. It's not sealed to be sold later on or for looks. I just don't want to watch it. The only reason I'll ever open it is because there's a bonus disc containing the first four episodes of Friday Night Lights Season 1. It's also probably why I haven't sold it on Ebay or something. Hell, I'd forget I even had it if it weren't for Friday Night Lights.

2) Season 1 is brilliant. Season 3 is strong. Season 4 has some of the best episodes. Season 5's a powerhouse. Season 2 you need to avoid at all costs. Like Heroes, Season 2 is atrociously bad and everything about it was swept under the rug for future seasons. Pretty much everything about it is completely forgotten be everyone else on the show. Which sucks even more because Landry's dad is Glenn Morshower a.k.a. Agent Aaron ****ing Pierce.
