Oh and if you want to create a full logo for the contest, you can create one of those as well. It should be 600px wide by 200px high. We might rotate the logo as well if we like what we see. :)

Howdy all. As per usual, we'll be allowing users to submit their own images for the various battles in the contest. For rounds 1 and 2 of this contest, please use the following guidelines:

-Images should be 280px wide by 100px high.
-Images should be of only one of the two rivalries in the match (we'll mix and match pictures together).
-Images should show both characters and their names, in the order that they are listed in the bracket.

The submission form won't be live until Monday at the earliest, but if you want to get started now, that's what we'll be looking for. Enjoy your weekend and have fun!

So we're getting moving right along with the contest. I'm getting ready for the vote-in polls and all that fun stuff but then I realized that I really hate the name "Greatest Game Rivalry" for the contest. So I figured, who better to ask for a better name than you folks!

Here's the deal. I'll provide the usual GameFAQs Asks submission form link below. Your mission is to fill it with a good title for the contest. Please note that I'll be reading all of the submissions and the one thing that I don't need is everyone submitting the same title over and over. Please just submit your own idea for a contest name and we'll pick the one that we like. You don't need to "rally" your suggested name and again please don't ask others to submit the same name for you.

Here's the form:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/feedback/index.php?type=41

Please put the title in the Short Answer box. You can put whatever you want in the larger box. As always, have fun!

Howdy all. It's that time again, time for the next GameFAQs contest! This contest focuses on rivalries, from the friendly (Ryu vs Ken) to the bitterest of foes (Cloud vs Sephiroth). Below you'll find the nomination form. The rules are pretty clear, so start getting those nominations in!

Have fun, everyone!

A few closing notes from me on this topic:

-To those saying you wouldn't have even known about the ability to answer without having this topic point it out, that would have been more helpful than finding out from a topic saying "Vote this way!" linking to it. No input is better than input you've been told to give.

-This is incredibly informal and I'm not going to implement the winner or anything, just wanted a broad overview of what the users in general want.

-For future reference, I'll probably be doing these types of surveys weekly. My blog updates are conveniently noted on your board list for you if you want to participate.

-I don't have control over when we can and cannot have a contest as the prizes don't come out of my pocket. I hold contests as often as I can and I very frequently ask for the approval to have a new one. When I get the okay, I make one. If you want more contests, petitioning me is unnecessary. Petition CBS Interactive and let them know.

For what it's worth although I made a joke out of my actual text body I fully intended to send this with or without anyone's push.

The problem is there's literally no way to know that. Anyone who saw this topic before submitting an answer to my topic has had a tainted opinion since they've had something suggested for them. Thus, the data is no good to me since it isn't completely pure.

Telling everyone to vote the same thing is incredibly unhelpful for my getting general feedback about issues with the site. Contests will happen when they happen, and getting request floods isn't going to make one happen any sooner. Please stop sending in these feedback tickets now so I can actually see what people are thinking and not the hive mind of a single board. Thanks!
