Well, he didn't say that. He said god didn't give him his musical ability. through some genetic luck or some event that may have inspired him, he was drawn to music, and he worked hard and became good. I don't see why he shouldn't be proud that he worked hard for his ability.

I think the problem is that by having this week's theme as "flight", I wouldn't be surprised if the background only consists of clouds >_>

even if the background is only clouds, there's a more creative way to use the space than just throwing something on top of bad photoshop-esque cloud effects.

I would just like to see you guys better utilizing the rectangle you have to work with, instead of just thinking of it as a piece of paper that you're drawing on.












i googled flight paintings and these were some of the first. they all use the whole canvas, even if it's just a color differentiation, they use it creatively.

your overall work will definitely improve rapidly when you start thinking of your drawing in relation to the canvas

i'm not going to vote, but I do want to say that I would like to see the remaining artists try to make a composition utilizing the whole canvas and it's shape. Too many of these are just figures thrown on an empty/lazy background. and i don't mean I want to see detailed backgrounds or backgrounds at all, just something that creatively uses the space.

I thought they were awesome, the game was just too hard for me. Especially the rising sun empire. It seems like they would defeat me within the first 10 minutes of starting a match against them. I feel like I could be a little more methodical with the first two RAs

there really is something about how ertyu draws faces sometimes that I find appealing. if refined, it could maybe make a cute cartooning style

It's easy enough to just talk to the people next to you if you're on the floor while the band is playing if you need to be social and people are generally quite friendly due to the fact that you enjoy the same band.


that's what I'm thinking. I just associate shows with socializing, because I've only ever gone to them with friends. So if I go to this thing alone, I'm going to try to meet some strangers there, and hopefully even be able to chill with them at a bar or something afterwards

I'm thinking of going to a show, but I don't think I'll be able to find a friend to go due to not liking the music or having work in the way.

It seems like it might be a good opportunity to meet new people anyway. So anyone have any experiences with going to a show alone?

I watched an episode of smb3, and it's definetly better. The world looked more like a mario world, they used powerups, koopa kids, air ships. Awesome

Invincible actually deals with a lot of the stuff you're talking about. Early on, the main character is fighting someone and wrecks a few buildings in a major city. Lots of **** comes out of that, but yeah, people die. I think one of the minor villains - not sure who - was just some random guy who lost family when the two were fighting each other.

Cities get busted occasionally too. One happened fairly recently and the government didn't even attempt to rebuild it. Instead they turned what was left into a huge solar power plant.

Invincible is a good series.

DC has like hundreds of super powered beings that play by their own rules and are also able to be resurrected if they die, and they all fight CONSTANTLY

they all need to leave with their FTL spaceships and find a new planet to have their super powered wrestling feuds on
