I would be okay with region locking if there was minimal difference in content and release date. Unfortunately it seems like that will only be the case a select few times.
I don't know how bad the backlash was here, but Atlus should have expected there would be complaints over this. especially considering they don't have publishing rights in Europe. -- DON~! |

the battle rhythm game seems kind of interesting but I don't really know about the other stuff. Just having input icons show up over some cutscene that you probably can't even look at since you're busy looking at the icons seems kind of lame.

I wouldn't consider the DS CVs to be RPGs, but considering smurf calls VC one... I guess you almost have to, it would be a pretty sad generation if it wasn't.
Devil Survivor 1 isn't better than TWEWY though, at least the DS version isn't don't know about the 3DS one. -- DON~! |

I really only like number 1 on this list, but considering you haven't played the Souls games I can't really find a fault with it either. DP being there maybe, that game is pretty much where I gave up on Pokemon. I'd probably put TWEWY over Xenoblade, but ehh... whatever.

It almost seems like to an extent they've been following your advice lately, but that probably just boils down to their absolutely ridiculous development cycles this past several years. but they released FFXIII-2 this year and there are already rumors on an FFXIII-3 happening as well! when I say they should take a break on FF development I don't just mean the main titles! -- DON~! |

Seems to me that FF is such a divisive series these days, there's just no way square is going to live up to all the expectations on the next one. There will be disappointed people regardless.
Maybe the best thing for square to do is to just take a break from FF development for a while. That way they can put the FF people on smaller projects where they aren't expected to make the game that square apparently failed to make for 15 years. And who knows, without the FF pressure on them, maybe they can actually make an interesting game. -- DON~! |
