But I do know one thing, Mouth of Bombadil, I will not help you. You attribute the breath of the life recently breathed into this federation as caused by Tom Bombadil. It is the opposite. He has done nothing to help this federation. Even the recruitment drive was my idea, as you recall. This league's second genesis is completely due to the fact that we have new members. Tom Bombadil is still scrambling to remember all their names. He's got a thriving roster for the first time in a year and he has no idea what he's doing. He's going to blunder along the way until he fits them all nicely into categories.

I now realize my error. I was picking from the old guard, and from the current guard. If I'm going to beat Tom Bombadil and change the future of this company... I need somebody who is going to be the future.

Which brings us back to the number of the beast. You catch more flies with honey then you do with vinegar, Maniac. To properly seduce shortsighted minds and cause fortified ones to question, evil must come so close to perfection - up until the point it actually matters. You walk a road and you realize at the very end you have completely missed your destination. 666 - so close to 777, but yet not it at all.

I know not who is laying the honey that is trapping you, Maniac. Perhaps you originated it. You certainly have been dong an excellent job as Tom Bombadil's mouth as of late, haven't you? So, here we are.

I did not think this process would be an easy one, because nothing worth doing comes easily. However, I believed the difficulty would be completely different then what I am experiencing.

Boko did nothing to assist me. His focus was not on the match. I said fine - I had two more options, if Boko did not want to help then I did not need him. We tied, due nothing to his efforts and the only reason I eked out a tie was because my opponents became arrogant.

Then we arrived at Dante. At his own show, Dante was fired up. The crowd was hot, the opponents were demoralized. We won, and we had a great showing. Things were looking great. Ironically, it was Tom who showed me that this was not to become a habit - when we attempted the same on Tom's own show, the battlefield that we would be fighting on regularly, Dante showed that he is past his tag team wrestling prime. We lost, and we lost bad. Things did not look good.

So now I sit here, on the edge of my next tryout match. On the edge of my last chance. This hurts more then you could understand - I knew this was going to happen. I knew that I should have walked alone, as I always did and as I was always successful.

But this is right. This is how things should be. My brain is telling me this, but my gut is terrified that this is just another failed experiment.

Edwards. It is now on your shoulders.

If we fail now, then my holy war is lost before the battle even begins. Believe it or not, I cannot win the tag team titles without a partner. And if you three are determined to let me down, then there is nobody left who I can trust. And if there is nobody left that I can trust...

I'm afraid I'm going to have to walk down a road to break Tom Bombadil that I do not want to have to walk down.

Edwards, this is now up to you. I pray I have not made the wrong decision.
