No, it outclasses on platformers too. I know B8 comes down pretty hard on 3D platformer > 2D platformer side of things, but for anyone who thinks differently it's a no-contest win for the PS1. Since the 3D platformer offerings for each system are comparable, but 2D has Castlevania and Mega Man vs. not very much. N64 didn't even have the decency to give us a new Metroid which could have let it have a chance in that department. You seem like you know the PSone library pretty well, so what platformer (the obvious ones like SotN aside) would you recommend? Or shmups, for that matter? All this talk about Playstation has me wanting to dust it back off again. I die a little inside every time I see someone who is serious when the say that the N64 was a better system than Playstation 1. The N64 had a lot to offer for a small audience.

To be honest it's not that hard to get a girlfriend if you are over say 20. Personally I'm way better off without one because I love to be alone.
