As far as produce in low income areas, I lived in the Bronx for four years. And there were three supermarkets in walking distance from where I lived. But I can say that the produce they had was definitely of a much lower quality than in higher income areas. But it is available, and if that's all you've ever known, I guess you'll get used to it. I can't say much with regard to rural areas, though.

I lived in the Belmont section of the Bronx for 4 years. There are definitely parts of the Bronx to avoid, though Throggs Neck and Riverdale are pretty nice.
But yeah, Manhattan is nice, it's just pretty expensive. Roommates are definitely a necessity unless you're bringing in some good money. And cars are definitely a huge hassle. They're pretty useless for inter-NYC travel, but if you're going to be leaving the city a lot, you'll need one. And parking is so expensive. I don't know much about the other boroughs, to be honest, though I know there are some nice sections of Brooklyn and Queens. Some parts of Queens are almost suburban in nature. I know they both have some pretty bad neighborhoods too, and I honestly can't give you to much advice on which neighborhoods are better. I know Williamsburg in Brooklyn is famous for its hipsters though. You can infer what you'd like about that though haha. -- How should I put it? Life is like video footage. Hard to edit. I'm certainly not arguing against evolution or climate change. I'm just saying it seems strange to be accepting of those things but critical of vaccinations when all research done on them shows they are safe and beneficial. I'm no Republican apologist.
And yes, rich people are greedy. They want to make more money themselves, but so long as they do so, I don't think they're going to go out of their way to make everyone else poorer. That is all I'm saying. If you snap forward to earlier this year, rich people pushing down the middle class was happening in Egypt, and, it...actually didn't turn out that bad for most of the rich, but their government was overthrown, and the new government will likely be much more into redistribution of wealth. So they are going to have their wealth redistributed to the middle class. Assuming that rich people like being rich and having money, that sounds quite bad for them, actually. -- How should I put it? Why is it again people think rich people care to "systematically push down" the middle class? It's not like they are very threatened by them. In fact, it's probably in their best interest that there is a strong middle class, so this very type of thing doesn't happen. You know, like, if this were actually anything serious, that is.

I agree with just about everything in that article. Simply put, I can't imagine any new games having the effect on me some of the older ones I played had, or me getting immersed in a game like I used to. To quote the author, "Wait a second. Is it possible that those old games didn't do anything magical with their programming to create 'immersion,' and that, like my kids with GTA, I 'immersed' myself in those games because I was playing them at a time before I was dead inside?"
