Again, he had a HELL of a season. But he knows how the voting on this works. If something like this is AT ALL close and they play at the very end of the season, the voters are going to go with that last image. That image was Kobe in the 4th quarter being Kobe, while Paul did not have the best game in the world and did not help his team win the biggest game of the season. That game was a micrososm of that season. (Actually, a microcosm of that season would be the Finals, where the Lakers literally had a Title stolen from them by the officials, while Powe took more FT's than THE ENTIRE LAKERS TEAM!!!) Kobe was better, just barely, but better when it mattered than CP3.
Voters were short-sighted and put too much weight into that game. If Kobe wasn't a seasoned vet he would have lost the MVP to Paul.

The MVP is a regular season award. Playoffs have no bearing, so I don't see how Lebron not having won a ring previously means he shouldn't have received the award now.

Rose is one of the worst MVPs of recent history and Kobe robbed CP3 in 08', they turned it into a lifetime achievement award that year.

I just finished the entire series a couple days ago. Glad I'm not the only one who felt that Marlo/Chris/Snoop lacked the panache of Avon and Stringer.
