I like.

Soad is an all time favorite of course, but I always felt they didn't belong to any genre. Ther always felt like their own thing.
Thats fair, I think they mostly get put in Nu Metal as a catch all since nothing else really fits them either.

I love them so much, I really want to see them live if theyd ever fucking tour again lol.

Whoa, never seen Water 7 so low on a arc tier list. Hope you're enjoying Whole Cake - it's probably my favorite post timeskip arc (though the current one's also pretty close).
Water 7 had a lot of highs, but also a lot of meh moments. And frankly, the Villains were pretty lame in Water 7 IMO.

We got Sogeking, Frsnky, and Robins origin out of it tho, so I still really appreciate it.

Im loving Whole Cake, depending on how it concludes itll probably crack top 3 for me.

I think part of the problem with Skypeia is that its sandwiched between a really solid arc with Alasbasta and arguably the best pre time skip arc with Water 7/Enies Lobby. Skypeia is just underwhelming.
I can understand that I suppose. Personally I liked all of the pre-time skip arcs a lot. I think I also like Skypeia because it was the first real introduction to the weird/fantastical side of One Piece. Sure we have the Devil Fruit powers and such, but Skypeia is the first time the setting itself goes fully fantastical, and I really appreciate that.

Now at the dreaded Skypeia arc for my reread. Tempted to skip it this time. This arc is so damn boring
I really don't get the Skypeia hate tbh. I guess in retrospect in comparison to later arcs it's not all the crazy, but I really enjoyed it in the Anime at least. *MAJOR SPOILERS TC*. I think it gives a good sense of scale for the overall world given that he fights someone who claims to be and acts like a god only to later on realize how small scale Eneru/Enel is in the grand scheme. First introduction to Haki, some interesting fights, the start of the Merry's end, and some cool/funny moments (Ussop accidentally popping out right in front of Enel, apologizing, and shutting the door is such a small but weirdly hilarious standout moment to me, even as far in as I am now.)

IDK, I liked it. I'm almost done with Whole Cake rn, and as of now I'd probably rank the major arcs:
From Best to Worst IMO:
Impel Down/Marineford
Albasta
Dressrosa
Whole Cake
East Blue
Thriller Bark
Water 7/Enis Lobby
Skypeia
Zou
Fishman Island

Sure, Skypeia is technically in my bottom 3, but honestly the only arc I think is legit not good is Fishman Island. Fishman is a fucking slog, but every other arc is pretty damn solid IMO.

This. Being rich is not an automatic youre evil, but the more you get (especially Billion +), it becomes less and less likely that you acquired that much money through ethical means.

Mudvayne is still one of my favorite bands and I will still throw L.D. 50 or The End of all things to come and just get it as loud as I can.

Static X was another big favorite of mine.

I'm glad the Rap/Rock thing has came back in style with bands like Falling in Reverse. Hell even Papa Roach is making new music that's pretty good. So if you're looking for new music in the same style, I believe the genre it's in now is just "Hard Rock" and Nu-Metal only refers to bands that were part of that initial wave in the early 00s.
Mudvayne is dope, their first 3 albums especially are all fucking amazing, havent listened to their more recent stuff quite as much tho.

I could never get on board with coal chamber seeing as the main guitar riff in Loco is literally just Korn's Blind but with a faster tempo. That just rubbed be the wrong way.
Loco and Sway are probably their worst songs honestly. But give me some Big Truck, Bradley, or Friend any day.

Ive been in denial for a very long time, but its finally time for me to come clean.

I like Nu Metal. Its probably the genre I listen to the most currently. System of a Down is my favorite band. I like Deftones, Coal Chamber, Mudvayne, Soil, Flaw, Snot, Taproot, etc.

Shit, I can even do some Korn and Slipknot from time to time.

I get why its a widely hated genre, I really do. But god damn it, I cant explain why but I legit enjoy it. Its time for me to be honest about it, with all of you, and more importantly, myself.
