The fact that she alone (i.e., no Reese, Brink, Jackson, etc) was even considered shows that they want her on the team but circumstance meant that this year wasn't going to be it. Adding to this, I think it was established early on that all Super Mutants are effectively genderless, as the FEV mutation "dissolved" the human subjects' reproductive systems and mutated them into the same genetic monstrosity. The only two female-identified Super Mutants that I recall are Tabitha and Lily (a possible companion) both of whom were Nightkin variants of Super Mutant who retained very trace elements of their original identities (namely, recognizing their name and having distinctive desires, though both elements may have been driven by a sort of schizophrenia that is specific to Nightkin). Although they both wore distinctive costumes, they were effectively identical to the other Nightkin and standard Super Mutant models in New Vegas. At least that's how it used to be. Like, maybe she agreed when people said she was the "GOAT" women's college player and the older women took offense with that. It just seems weird that she's been targeted by them since before she was drafted. I don't recall previous "GOATs" Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu going through this as rookies but then again, there wasn't an ever-present spotlight on them either, so maybe it happened and just wasn't televised.
