the people that stop by my house are usually selling: solar panels, utility services like a different electric or gas provider, cable / internet, or lawn / tree services.

last week we had a big storm roll through our area and over the next few days i had like three tree removal companies stop by, and a roofing company.

going door to door while most people are annoyed at your existence, or just ignore you entirely. imagine thinking that interrupting someone at home to try selling them something is a good sales tactic. i've started looking through the door, allowing them to see me looking out, then just not opening up for them.

I feel like early CGI was bright and lacked detail so the T1000 especially can hold up because hes mostly formless. Its my favorite movie and its still great.

i sorta wish there was a plot explanation for how they conveniently ended up in a steel plant. that always bugged me. like if that car chase ended anywhere else they'd have had no chance at defeating the T1000.

this. Mandalorian S1 and S2 are sort of fun but pretty shallow.

what really gets me about what Disney is doing is that the potential of Star Wars is almost limitless, but they stick to revisiting stories and characters we already know about. the most 'original' character (Mando) is just a rehash of another established one.

stop explaining things to death. we don't need entire movies explaining every single interesting facet of a character (see Solo), we don't need an entire series going into six hours of explanation of something that was mentioned in the OT. stop showing us flashes of familiar faces. stop banking on nostalgia and do something original FFS.

people are starting to pull back on streaming. i reduced my subs to just Max, Netflix and Criterion and I'm about done with Netflix. just sub to one or two, watch what you want, cancel and rotate to the next one(s).
