Cant laws just place to no late terms abortions except for medical reasons be a thing? The issue with that is that it puts the burden on the pregnant person to prove their medical reason is valid and that could take a significant amount of time they may not have creating more risk. If there was some wave of people getting late term abortions for no reason than just because they changed their minds (this doesn't happen but I'll grant the hypothetical) that might be worth looking into but for now putting that burden on the pregnant person overwhelming hurts those that really need an abortion. But there's not. Instead our two options are current genocide in Palestine and some incremental but positive change domestically or even worse genocide in Palestine and drastic negative change domestically. If anyone has a magic wand that can change all of this this year by all means please use it and save us from this reality. If some miracle happens and she beats trump then I think she's a dangerous matchup against Biden. Her main issue is going to be convincing the trump base to vote for her but I think she'll be able to swing enough independents and moderates back to voting Republican and if she has them and the base Biden is done for. She won't win the popular vote but we're talking about tens of thousands in a few states that are going to decide the election. Plus one of the big things Biden has going for him is the anti trump vote, if he's not running there's going to be a pretty significant amount of people that might not bother without that threat. It's going to be close no matter what, best thing is to hold trump accountable and let the dice fall where they fall politically but work like hell to make sure a Republican doesn't make it back into the presidency --- Temporary signature |

| HotDogMayo 02/06/24 11:08:15 AM #35 | I definitely have mixed feelings on him, on one hand he's a huge part of the soundtrack of my life especially for the first 22 years or so but as I've gotten older I can't help but feel he contributed negatively to our culture with the songs later in his career Courtesy of the Red White and Blue being the glaring example of what I'm talking about. Though I'll admit I loved it at the time and it's catchy as hell.
