NE or CE... I've never really grasped when utter selfishness and a willingness to ignore "inconvenient" rules becomes Chaotic evil instead of regular sociopathic neutral evil

I only played the one on the nes and snes. The snes one did feel very punishing once you leave the first circuit, but I suppose it comes down to learning the bosses attacks and tells. The nes one isn't easy but it isnt super tough, you'll lose to most of the boxers outside the first circuit a few times but when you figure out how their moves work or what the game expects you to do it becomes a lot easier..... at least till Mike Tyson/Mr Dream where I just go "fuck that shit"

At least the happy boss is more inclined to leave you to it while the mean boss will get on your ass often about things that aren't your fault

Japanese developers don't listen to their equivalent of Tumblr leading to much better looking designs. You won't see a reboot of a 90s anime that ends up looking like Thundercats Roar and then failing to finish its first season even after network praise and retooling it to follow of the most commercially successful cartoons of all time
