You should look up some war stories of press. Its by no means an everyday thing but the way the press interact seemed pretty reasonable to me. Some recommendations for more movie/TV would be:
-Generation Kill - following a Rolling Stone reporter imbedded with Marine 1st recon during the invasion of the Middle East
-Whisket Tango Foxtrot - Tina Fey as a war correspondent

Then theres a ton of independent clips/stories of media in warfare.

IIRC one of the intentions behind Civil War was specifically to show how media will jeopardize lives including their own to get a shot

as much as I hate to say it this is when involuntary commitment should actually apply.

this happened a bunch too. There was always a few preps that could fight but for the most part they were just asking for beating half the time. Especially when alcohol got involved and they got liquid courage but still didnt seem to register they were starting a fight lol

some people do have valid criticism about the movie. Its not a perfect movie by any means lol.

I haven't seen the film yet though I plan on doing so. My understanding is that the journalist characters are portrayed as being neutral and impartial observers or wt least attempting to be. (If I'm incorrect here people who have seen the film can correct me) Which I take issue with. I have an problems with the idea that journalism, especially war journalism, should be inherently neutral.

Robert Evans, who is extremely critical of the modern state of journalism put it something like this "if one group is claiming that it's raining and another claims that it isn't, it's not your job as a journalist to report both sides claims uncritically. It's to go outside for yourself and see if it's raining or not and report on that, who is lying about it, and why."

people saying both sides are digging their head into the ground. What actually happens is you see how journalist act with competing sides to get the scoop, which is absolutely different from how you and others make it out to be.

I feel like topics like this perfectly show just how susceptible people are to misinformation, even when they create the misinformation on their own

I love JRPGs but I am sick of these western devs making these "chrono trigger inspired" kickstarter games so while I don't think this one is made by western devs it does tick the "old game inspired" and "kickstarter" boxes I try to avoid. funny enough I had tickets to see them when the pandemic hit. They refunded instead of rescheduling (for obvious reasons) and I havent seen them come back since.

First heard about that when we went to see Dune 2. The trailer made me very uncomfortable considering how many Republican voters keep calling for a civil war. But it did make me laugh that California and Texas were allies in the trailer. Texans hate on us so much, no way they'd side with us lol.

youd be surprised how positions change when resources become scarce. CA and Texas working together makes perfect sense both resource and location wise. Its obviously laughable now but if shit really hit the fan thats basically what both states would wanna do to become basically unstoppable (for all intent and purposes)

Yep! As soon as I finished it, I went back to see what was in that fruit drop tin. Like I said, I'm so glad they didn't try to stretch out the movie with his final days, so it relied on the viewer remembering what they saw, or simply going back to re-watch it.

couldnt agree more, way more impact that way. Cant wait to see the rest of the reviews and hope you enjoy, still got a lot of greats ahead of you!

#5 - Kiki's Delivery Service

There isn't much to write about this one, but it was a very cute and charming movie. The dialogue was well written (especially the sarcastic one-liners from Jiji), and the entire cast of characters were a joy to see, from the artist to the grannies (<3). Even the baker himself had some cute moments, like trying to impress Jiji at the beginning. The only characters that didn't lend themselves to the sweet nature of the film were the spoiled youngins who Kiki had to deliver the packages to, which actually served as a nice balance to the rest of the film.

All in all, I found myself smiling the entire time.
Kiki's Delivery Service - 10/10

(Side note: I was not expecting japanese Doo-wop at the beginning, but it was a pleasant surprise, and now I find myself looking for more in that style on youtube)

Hes not wrong but theres still a ton of 1v1 or heros in team games. Theres a reason people are considered greats even in teams and its hard to pretend the newer generation doesnt focus on being the superstar which is the opposite problem that plagues the scenes (and main contributor of the bad team mentality)

nah its just bad in general. Only like 5 levels and really barebones combat. I hear game takes like 6-8 hours to beat fully.

TBF, none of the KH theme songs aligned with the games in terms of lyrics. At leas the English versions.

simple and clean is pretty on. Obviously the father stuff not so much but as a whole the theming is pretty on for losing innocence while trying to remain pure (or simple and clean)

i feel like 2 is probably the winner too.

i enjoyed 3 but agree with others that 1/2 were better, 3 felt like a ton of regression for butcher and overall didnt have quite the same spectacles as the first 2.

plus 3 is the only season without some deep mischief, the dolphin was great in 1, but the whale in 2 was GOAT. The sex part in 3 was good but it wasnt great like the others I feel like

its a red herring/reveal. They chase the term water strider throughout the movie which was a mistranslation of water spider, and the reveal basically results in them stopping the bad guys plan

There was still some flirting especially when she still thought he was the real deal.
