Fallout 3 will be my second vote

I have gone back and played the shit out of 1, 2, NV and even 4, but every time I go back to 3 I end up quitting an hour or two in. IMO not a bad game but aged the worst in the whole franchise

Games-that-didn't-hold-up-specific-rules: Needs to be an officially released game that was, at the time, a critical (and possibly commercial) success. Needs to have been revisited with a more critical eye since release and now either be considered mediocre, overrated or not well aged.

This should be common opinions, not just your own. If anyone comes out here swinging for something like OoT, SM64 or FFVII then feel free to lampoon them.

This one got a lot of noms so I am doing it but this is gonna end up being a VERY subjective Rushmore to some extent, I think. I asked ChatGPT for some examples and even it had some extremely spicy takes so I am expecting that no matter what this topic will get messy. I am anticipating a lot of arguing but overall everyone has been on their best behavior lately so let's see how this goes

video game sequel gaps always fascinate me. sometimes you know why they revived a franchise, like shenmue 3 was obviously a big push that was made for years. but sometimes it's like "oh shit why NOW?" like with Pokemon Snap 2, years after people stopped asking for it. They could have done it on the 3DS but they didn't, then it just randomly happens on the switch

I think my enjoyment comes from watching you guys debate. I have to read every vote and it gets so tedious when it's not close. I absolutely love a close race for 3rd/4th coupled with you guys arguing. you have to idea how gratifying it is when someone comes in and says "WELL HAVE YOU CONSIDERED X??" and I watch the votes swing

wish they could all be like that, but that's an experience pretty much exclusive to me

I think I'm mostly upset because I put the most thought into the daily rules and there's ALWAYS someone who doesn't read them or tries to get "clever" with their votes

I might combine Kevin Butler votes, all the commercials are pretty similar and came out in a pretty limited timeframe before he got shitcanned. I think there was an offshoot series with Kevin Butler and that one kid (Marcus?) that I would consider a second series of commercials

I'm also willing to accept commercials for products that are not games/consoles as long as they are primarily centered around an existing video game IP, like Mario's commercial for milk or Sonic's commercial for Progressive Insurance. I don't think there's enough of those to be its own Rushmore so I'm allowing them here.

You can vote for a series of similarly themed commercial for one product in a specific window of time, like "GameCube Animal Crossing Mascot Suit Series," or "Segata Sanshiro series," but you can't say things very vague things like "Dreamcast commercials during its launch."

PLEASE BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE WHILE VOTING, something like "the one for Pokemon Red and Blue" doesn't mean anything. I will NOT ask anyone for clarity, I will just be throwing your votes out if I don't immediately understand what you are talking about.

If you are worried I won't know what your vote is then please post a YouTube link or point to an existing post that already did. I will say I think I know most of the major commercials I think people will be voting for here.

I watched that Lookism adaptation on Netflix and my brain immediately erased all memory of it, which makes sense given the source material

I think that's basically Webtoons in general. They're like junk food versions of comics. They are made to keep you scrolling but you don't get a ton out of them.

Lore Olympus is easily the best one/most successful one and it's DEFINITELY not perfect. I think I read recently that it's kinda fallen apart and the fanbase has turned on it which is not shocking as it seems like the kinda Tumblr shit that would attract a volatile fanbase
