I get people didn't have any other choice 30 years ago when Doom came out but goddamn Doom was better than some of the older things and alternatives. Like Catacomb 3-D and Wolfenstein. About 20 years ago I remember reading the drug info from Walgreens on my Adderall. At the time it is WAS being used as a depression treatment. Don't really know if it still is. I think the FDA recommends not taking amphetamines or being VERY careful if you have depression now.
