But it almost rarely ever happens when im browsing, except for when I use gamefaqs. This is a recent phenomena too, did Fandom add more junk to the site or something like cryptomining in the background?

The trope of telling the origin story of the villain to see from their perspective and rationalize their turn to evil is overdone. It's usually always "We live in a society" moment with it. Agreed, we dont take it easy on villains in real life and we shouldnt in fiction either. I'm going to vote for Joe Biden in November but that doesn't mean I'm willing to pretend Israel does not carry active genocidal intentions and that the US government does not aid and abet those intentions to become action. Maybe in Christianity with original sin, but thats more of a concept spread by the church than actually being in the Bible. I grew up Muslim myself and never heard were inherently evil, just that we can choose to do evil things because of various temptations and such.
