TL:DR a player on the 49ers refused to play in the 3rd quarter of the game and the team and talking heads are acting like this is the worst thing a player has ever done. Meanwhile the league has a soft hand anytime domestic/sexual assaults happen. Its just crazy that a player like Watson will be back next year, but the guy who quit on his team probably played his last nfl snap.

I teach at a pretty low performing high school so it's usually very easy to tell if a student used AI or not. If I'm ever unsure, I just find a sentence or phrase that a seems a little suspicious and say to the kid "hey what does this word mean" or "can you explain this part to me"? If the word or sentence is perfect in the essay but they can't even come close to explaining it to me then I know they copied or used AI.

The fact that the NCAA looks the other way when it comes to fans storming the field is wild to me.

I'm not even sure what he is really trying to say. It makes sense that people don't trust the government to carry out capital punishment, but I'm not sure what that has to do with vigilantly justice. Maybe he's implying we can't trust the gov to punish insurance companies so citizens have to take it into their own hands?

I'd imagine the main goal of a protest is to enact change. I get the point of "if a protest is invisible then it's ineffective" but at the same time I don't see how delaying/annoying a family tradition is going to convince anyone. Unfortunately it seems like a lose/lose situation.

Normally yes, but it sounds like TC lives in a multi unit building where at least some of the units are outright owned. If no one person/company owns the building as a whole, then you need some sort of organization in order to make sure shared things are upkept.

I'm sure the specifics depend on the state, but generally speaking landlords have a duty to provide a safe and habitable living space. Pest control falls under that. If you're in this situation don't let a slum lord try to stick you with the exterminator bill.
