I have done 2 401k loans as well as a CARES act withdrawal during COVID, so there are ways to tap into the funds without getting hit with taxes. When looking back at what Ive invested over time and what the balance is at now, its easily the best performing asset I have. Ive never been scammed and feel perfectly safe selling on eBay. Now, youll pay a decent amount of fees (~13% + fixed fees) but if you go into it expecting that and are ok with it then eBay is a perfectly fine option. PriceCharting.com has options to upload spreadsheets of inventory and do bulk selling. They also have ample snacks in the office at all times. The eBay seller had it discounted quite a bit even due to the imperfections. Goo Gone has been suggested, but that stuff is so corrosive I feel itd eat right into the data layer. I like it for disc cases and other hard surfaces, but tend to avoid it on anything paper or sensitive. Iso tends to be a lot more tolerable on most surfaces. But less effective, as a result. I would also try Undu, but some were saying dont use lighter fluid. I dunno test another disc is winning but I have quite a few junk CDs it couldnt hurt to try the stuff on first.
