It's a way to prevent a purged user from making a "new" account and coming back here. If there are any truly new users, they would be far and few between.

They don't bother me one bit. "Hornyposting" is juvenile and I'll just avoid posting in political topics like I should anyway.

Sure, if I want to keep my "privileges" to view CE then I'll have to be more careful about how strongly I word things sometimes, but I should do that anyway. I've gotten into the bad habit of not really caring what I say on this site and that's not a good thing. So if it helps me keep my mouth shut more often, that's a good thing.

So yeah . . . overall I'm fine with the changes.

Even as a lifetime Packers fan, I'm so embarrassed that I was ever a fan of this <insert derogatory term of your choice since they would all fit>.

Just this morning. Every weekend. Although today it wasn't actually Bob but "whatshisface" who tried to take over for him. Still good, though.

I always wanted to try the technique, but it's too expensive for my budget to "just try." Plus, I don't have the space for it unless I did some major rearranging of my house. Not worth the cost & effort for something I'd probably be terrible at. But it sure looks fun.

Personally, I'd show up a bit before 9 because I'm always early and never late. But your whole situation makes no sense to me, so I can't give any real advice. I've always worked jobs where I've had exact schedules.

Things like guns and driving are immediate dangers to lives, not only to themselves but to others.

Drugs and social media have long term effects which are extremely harmful. I've personally known several people that by their mid-30s their brains were complete mush thanks to long term drug abuse. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing similar "zombies" resulting from social media abuse.

But good luck keeping teens from doing whatever the hell they want to do.

I only had a short stop over there on my way from Tucson to Portland, but from what I could see the Reno/Lake Tahoe area looked amazing. I would still like to actually visit there some day.

I was 10 when Star Wars came out. I didn't live near a theater at the time, but I finally got to see it about a year later when we'd moved to Iowa. Better late than never, plus it was only $1 to go see it. "Second run" small town theater. It was awesome.

It's a 6 out of 10. Just a little above average.

It has a nice look and feel to it. There are some interesting story bits and it's cool that you have some genuine effect on those. It is fun for a little while. But . . .

It gets sooooooo boring and repetitive.

Absolutely. Get the fuck out of here with that "only" bullshit. Capcom made this game for the fans of the first one and I thank them for that.

The focus is on exploration and fun combat with no handholding. Exactly what I wanted. If you love Dragon's Dogma you will love this game. If you didn't, this won't change your mind because Capcom didn't bow down to the lowest common denominator.

And finally, the "performance issues" are greatly exaggerated as usual. The game looks and plays just fine. I've heard more than one person who is a "60 fps required" say that the frame rate is only an annoyance in a few situations in towns. Out in the world it's a complete non-issue. Unless you insist on being anal about it.

I was a 70s kid.

In the 80s I was a teenager, college student and got my first full-time job in '89 starting my career as a caregiver.

I played it for about 8-10 hours back in 2006. I thought it was boring and annoying as hell. Then again, I hate multi-player and it was way too crowded for me.

And to answer the question, "If you hate multi-player why play an MMORPG?" The answer is: some of them are really fun to explore. I loved most of my time playing WoW in 2007-08 and could find plenty of places where no one was around. Or very few people. I was enjoying LotRO as well, until it went ftp and morons flooded the game.

I did not enjoy Runescape at all.

What winter? You mean the warmest December/January/February on record with 2nd least amount of snow? (Here in the lower 48 US at least.) You call that winter?

Here in SE Iowa we had a two week period in early January that you could call actual winter. Besides that, it's been nothing but nice, with a "cold" day here and there.

I'm very happy to see this game getting so much respect. For a strategy RPG that's a fantastic score. Not that I personally give a shit about what others think, but if it gets more people to buy the game then that's great.
