Blame stupid regulations and import taxes. Small trucks fall under different regulations than big trucks so they can get away with worse safety and mileage standards if your pickup has four+ seats rather than two.

On the subject of maps, I don't like how South-up orientation maps are often called "upside-down maps" because there's no such thing. It's long held convention to orient maps with North at the top but a South-up map is just as valid a representation of the Earth's surface. We're just not accustomed to visualizing it that way.

Yeah I wound up getting this controller and thought it handled and felt great, it was real durable also.

N64 and Genesis have opposite problems.

The N64 stick sucked, but it's c-button set up was novel and still hard to replicate. The next best option is either keyboard or mapping c-buttons to X/Y/L/R.

The Genesis has a fantastic d-pad, but has issues when you want to either hit buttons precisely or hit multiple buttons at once. You can piano, but that's awkward. Really isn't that much of an issue considering its library, but wouldn't hold up now. 6-button fixes many issues, but still rough to reach from A to C.

I'd give the Genesis the edge since it doesn't have mechanical problems.

Genesis six button is superior.

Also lol at everyone hating the three button more than the n64 one. The retro community agrees that the Genesis controllers have the best d-pad.

Not really a huge fan of either design tbh, but I'd probably go with Nintendo if I had to pick one. More buttons, and an analog stick.

My ideal controller would have the overall shape, grip, etc of an Xbox controller, but with Sony's dpad/stick layout.

Genesis was always held back by its controller design imo. Not sure who thought three huge buttons in a straight line made sense.

No one here (Austria, shown as YMD and DMY), absolutly no one, uses YYYY-MM-DD outside of putting the date in some database.

We don't talk YYYY-MM-DD, we don't write YYYY-MM-DD, we don't read YYYY-MM-DD.

The only times I have seen someone using YMD is when someone from IT (including myself) is trying to index some date or uses some database in the background using YMD.

And if we need to schedule some international date, we just write the month in name to be sure.

The hue is the biggest reason they feel brighter, I think. Red at 500 lumens feels dimmer than blue at 500 lumens. It's something to do with how each wavelength interacts with the rods and cones in your eyes. LED headlights are by and large "cool" white, versus the warmer white you got with halogens. So I suppose the real solution would be to use warmer LEDs for headlights.

It's something like they aren't standardized, and they've been putting in these fucking LED headlights on all new cars. I'm guessing because they can get good prices for them or something. It's not needed in the suburbs with all the fucking street lamps. You don't need 8,000 damn lumens to drive in the damn suburbs.

US, as usual has no set standards.

- Drivers say they're routinely getting blinded by surrounding cars' headlights.
- This isn't because headlight regulations have changed regulations on brightness haven't been altered in decades.
- In reality, it's due to misaligned headlights, taller vehicles, and the changing hue of the lights.

We have 4:00 and 14:00 to sort out any confusion.
