I could be misremembering that. I thought there was an episode that had to do with the jewel and that the whole reason Naraku was doing what he was, was to destroy the jewel and free the priestess from the constant fighting inside it.

Well, it's true that the jewel was manipulating him. It wasn't trying to "free" the priestess (Midoriko), it wanted to replace her and the demon she was fighting with Kagome and Naraku. It was basically losing its power and wanted to replenish itself by repeating the cycle of "priestess vs. powerful amalgamation of demons." They even have the even has the same backstory as their predecessors: a man was in love with Midoriko and he gave his body to the demons in an attempt to take her for himself.

As for Naraku, his actual motivations are unclear, but that's by design because he was a living contradiction, since his human half wanted Kikyo to himself while his demon half wanted to kill her.

Yay! I remember enjoying the anime back when I watched it. Naraku was a creepy mofo. Although hell wasps were the real main villain if we're being real

Naraku is one of my favorite villains. He's just so delightfully spiteful and petty

The last season was also just terrible. Naraku got a redemption arc at the end. Inuyasha got a sword upgrade that literally cleaves space and they act like it is hardly strong enough to deal with Naraku's henchmen. Sesshomaru gets a new sword that basically causes atomic fission where anything it cuts explodes and then anything attached to it also explodes creating a chain until the object is completely destroyed. Then the whole way they wrapped up the jewel as a plot device and story line was just stupid.

Naraku wasn't given a "redemption arc." The anime did add to his death scene by showing that he felt at peace in his final moments, but that's about it.

I never got Ultima Weapon in the first game. I think the secret bosses are fun, overall Phantom can be annoying annoying if you don't like its gimmicks

It's nuts that modern controllers have so many problems.

We really should have just stuck with DualShock 2 and called it a day.

I've always found it odd that the console has to be on (or in sleep mode) to charge the he DualShock 4. Meanwhile you can charge the Switch Pro Controller with the console turned off.

Great remakes that expand on the originals while adding in the coolest gimmick from the franchise, Mega Evolution. And the postgame Delta Episode is really hype.

In 2011 I literally couldn't play Skyward Sword's final few cutscenes in a room with my parents because the weirdly long scenes with Zelda screaming sound like primal sex. It was so unbelievably uncomfortable. It's in the remaster as well.

I remember watching a video of one of Ghirahim's cutscenes on YouTube, and there was a comment that said something like "When my parents walked in, I turned on porn because it was easier to explain."

I will clarify, either Exodus or Exodes (used the latter) would fit better. I've seen both.

But to keep things short to avoid mean accusations of AI slop (so much for trying to be detailed), keep in mind some early Japanese strategy guides and fan translations from the 90s (as in before an official translation) also refer to the villain as "Exodes". Summonable versions of characters with the same name use the name "Exodus". The totem in FFTA clearly takes inspiration from "Exdeath" as well, being tree-like.

Huh, I figured that they just gave him an over-the-top edgy name because he's an over-the-top mustache twirling villain.
But it really feels to me like the katakana would be different if "Exodus" was the intention

Also what's this about Exdeath? Isn't his Japanese name "Ekusudesu?" That sounds like it's supposed to be "Exdeath" to me

Ultimecia might not be an accurate transliteration, but it actually works pretty well. Not only is she the ultimate sorceress due to being the culmination of all previous ones, but her name also has the word "time" in it (probably not intentional but still neat)

The only particularly bad part is flopside pit, which, granted, is ridiculously bad. But it's also pretty clearly side content that you're not forced into. TTYD puts it in the way of the main story multiple times.

So does SPM. Remember the 1,000,000 rubees? Remember having to tell an NPC "please" over and over to get an absurdly long code?

I prefer the remake's music overall, but there are some individual tracks where I like the original more. The biggest downgrade is definitely the theme that plays in the intro cutscene when Peach gets the map, because they actually cut out part of it.

I'm actually sympathetic to this. Idk if I'd call 2 the best but I remember enjoying it. But with Ragnarok, everything people complain about Love and Thunder applies to it as well, so I don't understand why 3 it's so highly regarded while 4 is hated

I'm not super familiar with her, but I like Control. There's a video on YouTube that uses the song for Undertale's genocide route and the song is extremely fitting for it.

I don't recall facing any issues after support for 7 ended...at least until Steam threatened to block access to the products I paid for

I wonder if the final game will let you set up a save point wherever you want. I remember it was the causes of some serious glitches.

I just placed it right before the point of no return and it worked fine there. I wouldn't want to be stuck with a file that doesn't have a save point right by the final boss. But this was the remaster version, idk if it was fixed compared to the original
