-Olimar got cut down to three Pikmin, from the six he could have in Brawl. -Mid-battle transformations were cut, so Zelda and Sheik, and Samus and Zero Suit Samus became wholly separate Fighters. Also, Pokemon Trainer along with Squirtle and Ivysaur were cut entirely, so Charizard went at it solo. -Most infamously, the Ice Climbers were cut completely, because they were completely unworkable on the 3DS, even with Sakurai removed things like gravity and collision from them.
