I recently went to Hooters, and I couldn't help but notice that the outfits of the Hooter girls has become more revealing then normal. While the usual stuff they wear are tank tops and short shorts, on this occasion, it seemed like they were wearing nothing more than thong leotards. It definitely caught me by surprise. I should clarify that my visit wasn't for the company of the ladies it was a to go order; I was there to get in some curly fries and fried shrimp as a treat for my hard weight loss work. However, those delicious treats might have contributed to an unexpected weight gain. Pretty sure if they make their own fabs they can stop relying upon TSMC. That's what I'm saying. With the US realizing that chips have national security implications and wanting to onshore as much of that manufacturing, I'm seeing a potential future where this may be possible.

From what I remember reading, it was Nvidia's refusal to move into the future of chip manufacturing that allowed TSMC to usurp them. Surely they want to get back to being on top.
