I used to shit post with the best of them on the anonymous board on ETI which no longer exists. It was fun because I have nothing else going on in my life. I haven't done any real shit posting anywhere since that board closed down though.

I still think immature shit is funny because I am a 44 year old man child that still enjoys stupid immature shit. My brain has literally never grown up. Perhaps it's a mental illness? I don't know. There is no other explanation needed.

Last week I went outside at 7 AM sharp to mow the lawn and it immediately started raining literally as soon as I stepped outside. I just said to myself "nope" and went back to bed. It only rained very lightly for like 10 mins tops.

Not being able to get a bottom of the barrel lower class job and get paid a comfortable living wage with full health care is a strong reason why I don't bother working. No job means no self confidence means no gf means no family/kids.

And I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that feels this way.

I'm pretty sure OnePlus/Sony/other brands have their own Android operating systems. I know LG had a really nice Android OS. The only reason I switched from LG to Samsung is because LG isn't in the market anymore. The downside to using lesser known brands is they don't get as many years of support/updates as the big boys like Google, Samsung, Apple. My LG phones only got like 1 update before being obsolete. The big brands get like 7 years of updates now.

I love trying to remember old stuff and then after some research actually finding it. I played a couple of old games at my cousins house in the 90s that I couldn't remember the names of all these years and then a few years ago I found them. Feels good.

When I was about 15 years old, I was at my cousins house and I tried playing a game called Police Quest: S.W.A.T. (Sierra), and I remember being terrified by it like it was some kind of horror game. It has such a weird creepy vibe and creepy ambience and creepy music and some of the scenes can scar a kids mind. I quit playing after getting freaked out and then was too scared to ever play it again. I have since then watched a complete play through of the game and it is still in fact a creepy game that is probably not for kids.

In the early 90s, so even younger than 15, I rented an SNES game called Drakkhen. Some of the scariest moments in that game for me where when it got dark out while you were walking around on the overworld, sometimes the stars would start moving in the sky and a scary giant monster would attack you. That sound when the stars moved was very creepy and startling like an alarm. It wasn't so much as the monster attack, but more that damn stars moving alarm sound that freaked me out.

Also there is a Castle (I think it's like the 2nd castle of the game) that has a shark in the moat and when you cross the bridge at the wrong time, the shark eats your character. I assume the game is running at like 30 fps, but the shark kills you in like 2 frames (almost impossible to see unless you are really paying attention) and it's so fast and the sound of your character dying is extremely startling. If you didn't know beforehand, you would just hold the up button on your controller to cross the bridge and all of your characters would be eating one after another in like 2 seconds.

Doom 2 used to give me nightmares when I tried to play it as a kid. Took me well until adulthood to finally play through the whole game.

My firefox and ublock origin still work fine, but I also don't update ublock every time an update comes out. I'm running v1.61.2. looks like 1.65 is the latest version.

Try librewolf? I've heard it's a great alternative to firefox and it comes with ublock origin build in.

Or just wait until it gets fixed.

It's been 30 years since Gundam Wing started airing in Japan. I still remember when it premiered on Toonami.

A quick look at gsmarena, I think the ROG phone 7 doesn't have a front facing camera built into the display. They started doing that with the ROG phone 8. I would have suggested downgrading but might not be worth going down to the 7.

Don't all smart phones these days have a front facing cameras built into the display now for am I just mistaken.

The sad thing is, most forever alone's are much more willing to just pay for AI companions instead of going through all the trouble of trying to find a human companion. And by "going through all the trouble" I mean, the normal stuff that boomers did to find love in their 20s, before social media and AI existed. Socializing is too hard for modern adults.

I wish General Leo was part of the main cast. His Shock ability is pretty awesome. I've used gameshark codes to give that skill to another character just to experience what it would be like to have through the game and it's OP as hell, which is why you're not suppose to have it.

Doesn't work on pixel 7. The on/off switch is there but turning it off does nothing. It's still on the home screen.

how? cause the first video I looked up on how to turn it off, the guy downloads a custom launcher.

I can't stand pixel and there forced "at a glance" on the home screen and their forced google search bar on the hone screen crap. I don't want to have to download a custom launcher to remove those things.

One UI 7 is uglier than 6.1 but it's still better than pixel's forced garbage to me.

It's easier to join party quests in maplestory if you are a female character. (are party quests even a thing anymore in modern maplestory?)

I watch other people play games that I can't buy because I don't have a job. So it's either sail the seven seas or watch someone else play and I don't like sailing much these days.

I've been pessimistic my entire life. I can actually still remember the anxiety and dread I had at 4 years old.
I remember thinking how pointless life is, in elementary school. That's why I never had any dreams of what I wanted to be when I grew up. No goals, no ambitions, nothing. I could keep going but it would be a huge wall of text.

The Zelda franchise but never played any console games past Ocarina of Time.
The Mario franchise but never played any mainline console games past Super Mario World.
The Final Fantasy franchise but never played any games that came out after FFX-2.
The Phoenix Wright franchise but haven't played Dual Destinies or Spirit of Justice or anything past that yet.
I've only played Sonic 1,2,3&K, Mania of all the 2D Sonic games, and never played any 3D Sonic.
I love Myst, Riven and Myst 3, never played Myst 4 or 5 or Uru (although I have spoiled myself the games I didn't play).
I love Civilization 1, never played any of the sequels.
Loved StarCraft and StarCraft Brood Wars, never played the sequels.
Loved Age of Empires 1, never played the sequels.
Loved Freedom Planet but haven't played the sequel yet.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, there's probably more.

Seiken Densetsu 3 (SNES). I played through it once and I really enjoyed the soundtrack and story but once I beat the game, I had absolutely no motivation or intention to play through the other main characters story arcs. I wouldn't say it "sucked" but I just didn't enjoy it as much as other RPGs.

I'm not keeping up with One Piece as it releases, but I watched through the Wano arc so I'm over 1,000 episodes in.

Same. I like to wait until a whole arc is finished airing and then binge watch.

I started watching One Piece Dec 2012 and watched 600~ episodes by Aug 2013.

If you count all anime, I've watched well over 18,000 episodes.

If you want just longest single show, that would be 1,000+ episodes of One Piece and still counting.

Never plaid a Ubisoft game in my life.

I'm not to too familiar with the subject but from what I gather:

SKG is about preserving online only games after they lose popularity by either turning them into offline games or patching the game to allow Peer 2 Peer online connections between players. As it is, game companies don't want to run servers when they are not profitable anymore so they choose to shut servers down thus killing their online only games. With no server, these games become unplayable and are basically dead.

Pirate Software thinks SKG will just make it so game companies won't want to make online games anymore period. Pirate Software wants online games to still be a thing. But SKG isn't about preventing online games from being made, it's about making it so when online games lose their popularity, instead of just shutting down the servers and killing the game, they should patch the game so it becomes either an offline game or a Peer 2 Peer online game instead. But game companies don't want to spend extra resources on patching a game for offline mode or they don't want to deal having their game be online (P2P for example) but no longer in their control.

Is that a decent summary?

lol I was reading through this topic to catch up and right before this post I was thinking, "I'm surprised nobody has said the Taken quote yet." Then the very next post on the next page, this.

Both of my parents are 71 and 70 and both are still fairly sharp mentally and exercise daily (thanks to me exercising daily since 2019) My dad used to be overweight and lost 80~ lbs after a year of exercising and dieting.

But it still sucks watching loved ones get older every year. I don't know what I will do when they are gone.

Wasn't there a remaster of the original? I think it was on the 360. They should release that on steam. I still play my N64 version every now and then. It's still a super fun game.

My mom uses and checks Credit Karma (which has access to Equifax and TransUnion scores) all the time and never gets points deducted for "looking at credit score too often". For Experian she just had to make an account with them directly to see her score there.

Are you looking at all three credit bureaus scores? I know Experian hates it when you have a $0 balance on a statement and always dock points for that.

My grandma got called by a scammer claiming one of her daughters was in a car accident and needed money or something. My grandma just hung up and called her daughter directly and found out nothing was wrong.

I'm still running a version of windows 10 from 2018, and It works fine.

I got the sequel for free in Nov 2021 and haven't played it waiting for this one. Glad I waited instead of buying.
