Right now I live in a kind of in between. I'm within the city limits but closer to the edge of it, so I have great access to the city (a block from the train station and an easy drive/uber ride), and still 5-10 minutes from the suburbs. The street I live on is not as quiet as the suburbs, but not as loud/busy as a normal city center street.

Best of both worlds tbh

His trump videos have got approximately double the views of his non Trump videos on a per video basis and despite going way out of his way to cover non Trump shit he somehow still manages to upload mostly Trump videos these days.

TBH he struck a gold mine here. There hasn't been another point in history where there's been so many legal questions being asked by the average person.

Agreed. I can't believe he has the time to keep up with these videos with all the Trump things that are happening, but he's somehow doing it

Lmao. For those who don't want to click the link, this is the summary:

Student : Charlie Kirk has said a bunch of racist things

Rittenhouse : What has Charlie Kirk said that is racist? *crowd erupts* Wait, we're going to have a dialogue about this. What has he said?

Student : *brings receipts, lists things he has said that are racist*

Rittenhouse : I don't know about any of those things.

Student: Well I just told you what they are. Does it sound racist?

Rittenhouse: No comment.

*crowd erupts*

Dresner immediately raised suspicions when police started investigating claims that he abused children when he was pulled over on his way to an airport and found in possession of a one-way ticket to Armenia, which does not extradite alleged criminals back to the United States.

A subsequent search of his electronic devices featured hundreds of thousands of child pornography images and his search history showed he was looking for countries that specifically did not have extradition treaties with the United States.

Damn that's pretty crazy. Glad they caught him before he could escape

AlCalavicci
03/17/24 1:00:27 PM
#5
I listened to the Pod Meets World episode where they tackled this subject, but I did not understand that Drake Bell was the victim that was being discussed.

Not to defend anything from their end, but I got the impression that Friedle/Strong regret doing what they did, and that because the accused was their friend, it was hard to fully accept what was happening as reality. They had a therapist on with them during that podcast episode that talked all about Groomers and how they operate and whatnot, which is where the "they were also victims" piece from the article/social media comes from.

Baron_Ox posted...
basically, for anyone who doesn't know, Drake Bell came out to say that his dialogue coach sexually abused him for years, and how there seems to be some conflict between him and some Boy Meets World actors since they spoke out in support of the coach (who was locked up for it, btw).

To clarify, they spoke out in support of the coach like 15-20 years ago during the initial trial. They are at least (publicly) regretful and remorseful that they did that back then, in hindsight.

Doesn't change that they were supporting an abuser back then. And in the article Drake suggests that their walking it back now could be indicative that their publicist chose to do it now because of the upcoming documentary. Which is totally valid and could be what was going on there :(

Better then doing this to someone. Which this guy got no blow back for.

You are comparing two totally different things at different events decades apart when society accepted things differently. Whatever Jim Carrey did would be received a hell of a lot different today than it was back then, and yes, I think he would be called out and receive blow back for it now.

Leave whataboutism out of this topic. Will Smith fucked up and he deserves the minor consequences he has gotten for this. You can't assault someone on live TV like that, regardless of whether assault may or may not have been accepted decades ago.

I'm pretty sure ASJ supports Trump, at least I had that impression from a year or two back

He is a moron. He said something like "even the bad warriors are represented", referring to Hitler. But to me, this is his way of acting like Hitler is bad, while also providing a dog whistle for the MAGA crowd.

Now he's being dragged on social media as he deserves. All he had to do was leave out Hitler from the merch, and he'd be fine.

Although, this negative press will prob end up getting him more money from the MAGA crowd

200cc challenges you to learn the track but force your time your movements long before you actually reach the point in the track for the movement. Like if you're coming up on a big curve you have to account for that much sooner than you would in 150cc and then ride out the actual turn.

It's such a different way of playing I find it refreshing compared to the formula of Mario Kart pre-200cc

Any prospective dismissal at this stage could be appealed pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 3731, as jeopardy has not attached yet and any dismissal would not involve the underlying facts of the charges, but the legality of Smith's appointment as Special Counsel or whatever immunity argument may be presented.

Cool, so does that mean there's a good chance that if Cannon went to the extreme of dismissing it, it would be appealed to the 11th circuit and likely reinstated? And if so, would Cannon still be the judge?

That's my take as well -- outright dismissing the case is being too obviously partisan in favor of Trump and could get her booted off the case.

This is my question though. If she dismisses the case, there is no case for her to be booted off the case. If she dismisses, how is there a case? What does she have to lose by dismissing it?

No, I have also been to the Coca-Cola store in Vegas and NYC, but that is mainly a big gift shop.

The museum has exhibits about the history of Coke, everything from the intrigue around the recipe to the advertisements through the years. And a big tasting room where you can sample Coke products from around the world (lots of different flavors) and Coke products long gone from the market (like Tab).

My son really wanted to go and I wasnt expecting to like it much, but the exhibits actually have some pretty interesting snap shots of history. It was a really fun time.

And of course, they have the same kind of gift shop you also find in Vegas or NYC. :)
