At least when it's too easy you still get to experience the story. Too hard just locks people out of the experience altogether, which is clearly worse.

To be fair, I think most peoples' bar for "too hard" is pitifully low these days. But if we're talking about "too easy" or "too hard" then I think it's pretty obvious which is worse. And by a significant margin.

Absolutely. It would be a rough transition, but we'd finally have a reason to get proper electrical infrastructure built.

Though unless every factory was also swapped to producing Teslas, we all know the world would just ramp up pumping out gas guzzlers even faster, offer ridiculously absurd incentives to get people to trade in the Teslas and keep everything status quo.

https://www.amazon.com/Pentel-Sharp-Pencil-0-5mm-Met-Violt/dp/B008LXMNOO

When I was in elementary school, everyone used wood pencils. And I don't remember when or why, but I got it in my head at some point that wood pencils were for kids, and adults always used mechanical pencils. So when we went back-to-school shopping for my first year of middle school, I distinctly remember thinking "Adults use mechanical pencils, so I'm getting a mechanical pencil this year." Spent like 20 minutes staring at the wall of pencils and picked a black Pentel P205. I used that specific pencil for the entirety of the rest of my education. Middle school, high school, and college. Every class note, every exam, every essay, all written by that same tube of plastic. The grip texture near the tip was almost entirely polished smooth. Lost the clip some time in high school, but that beauty never failed once. I loved that pencil.

When I moved back after college, a week or so after getting home I went to find my pencil and realized it was nowhere in sight. I can't explain how thoroughly I searched every single scrap of anything that was even related to school, let alone came from it. But it was just gone, and I'm not ashamed to admit I was sobbing.

On the bright side, they had expanded the color options since I first bought it. So they actually had my favorite color purple available (and it's a really nice rich purple, too). I bought a box of 12 and never plan on buying a pencil for the rest of my life.

i think i would be interested in these things if there was just less people

i really don't think they're gaining anything by always having so many

The whole point of this campaign is "best of both worlds" in terms of group size. They've got 13 main player characters, but after the first 4-episode introduction to everyone and the world, they're splitting off into 3 smaller tables of 4-5 players each. Don't know if they've officially announced schedule-wise how it'll go, but I'm guessing they'll have 2-4 episodes in a row with the same table untangling some smaller storyline before switching to another table for a few episodes.

So you get plenty of characters and storylines, but each session should be a much smaller and more manageable setting to follow along. And I'm sure there's going to be some super hype BBEG moments with 10+ PCs battling armies scattered throughout the campaign.

Uta posted...
Anyways I've never managed to finish a CR Campaign. I really liked what I saw of Mighty Nein, but wanted to go back to Campaign 1 and then struggled with some of the Acaba scenes early on. I don't think I ever left the dwarven mines, lol.

I highly recommend sticking with C1. Acaba isn't around too much longer and it gets good almost immediately once he's gone. I think it was around episode 27, iirc? Some people jump straight to that point when starting, so if he's really bothering you (understandably), you wouldn't be alone in just skipping him entirely. And the rest of the campaign is absolutely worth the time investment, especially if you've avoided the major spoilers.

I found CR in the middle of the Mighty Nein, and watched the rest of that campaign live. Tried catching up fully with Vox Machina during that time, and got about 70% of the way through that. But it's been a while since I continued it. Most of the remainder has been spoiled through C2/3 callbacks and just other fandom stuff so I've kinda lost the momentum to finish. I started campaign 3 live and loved the first 20-30 episodes. Then Robbie left. And within 3 or 4 episodes I had completely lost interest. Felt like the spark had left the rest of the cast and they were kinda going through the motions. Been meaning to pick it back up after hearing Robbie returned later on, but it's a lot of hours...

Learned about Dimension 20 towards the end of C2, and fell in love with Brennan's style. So when I stopped watching Bell's Hells, I started going through the D20 seasons.

Hearing that not only was Mercer finally getting to play a long term character, but now my other favorite DM in the world was taking his place? And not only was Robbie a full cast member, but Aabria and Luis too? Yeah, I am SO excited for this campaign. And the first episode did not disappoint.

My favorite game of all time. I've loved Skies of Arcadia for literal decades, and done more than a dozen 100% completion playthroughs. Vyse, Aika, Fina, Enrique, Drachma...the characters are all so unique and memorable. There were some seriously tough secret bosses. Exploring all the different regions' environments and discovering all the hidden secrets throughout the skies just never got old for me. I even found the super late-game farming for stat maxing enjoyable (loopers ftw!), which is usually a real slog.

It's the only game franchise that I would buy a console for. Day 1. Sequel or remake, either way I'm absolutely there.

I know exactly how you feel, TC.

It's not Greek, but there's a small Italian market nearby that my family has been going to for literally 4 generations now. My grandfather was 100% Italian, came here as a teen, and he wouldn't go anywhere else for his pasta and cheeses. I swear your mouth waters in the parking lot before you even get inside, it smells SOOO good. Tons of amazing cheeses and freshly baked bread. And they make a small batch of this absolutely incredible pepperoni bread fresh every single morning. If you get there early enough and it's still warm it's absolute heaven.

I was worried the tariffs would really hurt them, considering they import literally their entire stock. And it seems like prices have gone up a little bit, but nothing crazy. And I haven't noticed that they stopped carrying anything, either. So they appear to be doing alright. I'm certainly doing my best to keep them in business. :-P

Pro tip from a true Italian, forget parmesan cheese, grandpa wouldn't eat pasta without grated pecorino romano and neither will I.
