I dont think being on GameFAQs alone is the factor that contributes to negative mental health, but I do believe it fosters a spiral of declining health. Basically any social media or other forum/thread website is the same thing.

People are far happier without them. But we get bored one day and just check, then we get invested, then we get trapped. Its meaningless, all of this is pointless garbage that wont even exist in a few years.

The threads are deleted here within a week. The website that shall not be named doesnt even keep records beyond titles after some amount of times (I tried checking once, titles there but no posts). Youre living an existence through this website that has less impact on the world than a pets veterinary records.

Obviously, I have no idea. Conflicting thoughts, beliefs, theologiesI dont think its something were ever supposed to know. All we have are scraps of observable evidence:

1. Our bodies are simple enoughthey are formed, grow, and die.
2. Our mind, or consciousness, whatever you want to call it, seems by all evidence to be a complex biological aspect of our whole. There is nothing supernatural about it, and is very much subject to worldly influences. Yet it is not wholly accessible and retrievable, and can be completely lost.
3. There is still an unexplainable spark to life (I use the term spark in reference to a combustion engine, nothing biblical). You can notice its absence in the dead.

Using the automotive example, a dead body can be jumped back to life. The fuel and air is more akin to our blood, and the electrical system will keep it going once started short of significant damage. But the mind is like the computer in the car. Once its pulled out, it disconnects electronically and cant just be put back in the same place. Those wires need to be reconnected, and we dont know how to do thatwe dont even know if its possible.

If there is something more than simply rotting, whos to say which part of life it even controls or dictates? We tend to favor our mind above all, because without it were nonexistent. But the mind really isnt that mysterious, were close to replicating it. The third factor we can only explain with science, which makes it the most enigmatic until we find a way to create complex organisms.

I tend to only believe in what I can see though, even if it is unexplainable (to me). So like most others have impliedwe decay.

Its true. But its also more dangerous to stop a knife, because theres no safe place to grab other than the handlewhich someone else is already holding. Meanwhile firearms can have a lot of room to grab, some of the spots dangerous and others that can actually prevent its function. Though snub nose revolvers are similar to the knife situation, and far more likely to be critical due to greater tissue trauma if youre shot compared to being stabbed.

King of the Hill never made any sense to me.

Simpsons was a classic that paved the way, and should have stopped a long time ago.

Futurama had a good arc and was probably the best overall; again, should have stopped.

Family Guy stopped trying to be anything other than just random humor, and is better for it.

Bobs Burgers has some amazing characters and some horrible characters, but provides a good overall story experience; it should find a satisfying conclusion instead of becoming another Simpsons.

Shaving every day????

This reminds me of when I spent a couple of weeks in Singapore with my ex and her family. The random leg hair was so odd to everyone, and I even shaved it every day to blend in (as much as I could with my skin tone). She complained about it a couple of times.

It was at that time I wondered, do Asian people not grow hair as fast? Your response seems to kind of confirm that.

I have a couple chairs outside my door I use sporadically, depends on season. It might sound weird to some, but chilling outside the front or back door is very relevant to my background and ancestry. I probably do it less than all of my parents, grandparents, etc; mainly because Im spoiled by A/C and hate sweating. But when Im around family, its like I forget the discomfort and fall back into familiar habits of sitting outside and socializing.

Theres been a little bit of research on differences in stuff like hair and skin among people of different ethnic backgrounds, and that could lead to some cultural differences in hygiene. But in my experience, US society generally expects daily washing. However, the methods can vary widely by individual; shower, bath, wet cloth, with soap, without soap, etc. Weve got that melting pot thing going on though, so your answers are likely going to be based on the ancestral background of the individual youre talking to.

I was so excited for this, because the casting of Ali was absolutely top-tier.

Then Eternals happened, and - as the one person who really likes Black Knight - that stinger really got me even more hyped for the Blade flick.

But fucking hell, literally every piece of news that comes out about it makes it more and more of a trainwreck.

Seriously, just cancel it at this point, and if they really still want to use the character further down the line in the Multiverse Saga then just give him an introduction in the inevitable follow-up one shot to Werewolf By Night.

I dont even know if that inevitability is that likely anymore. That declaration about cutting back on development to be more inline with the Infinity Saga seemed to be directly aimed at less Disney+ content. But right now theres very little that seems to be going right with the MCU, and if Reynolds wasnt so hands on with Deadpool, I doubt even that would have positive progress.

That was some solid investigative work. I wish the FBI was always this effective. Also good on the firearm dealer who reported him.

If you like SW, probably. I remember when the High Republic period was being brainstormed and how absurd their priorities for creating the lore were.

But that was years ago, and I would assume that its had enough time to find its footing. Considering the best SW show was the one that no one asked for (Andor was barely a B tier character), and that Kenobi kind of suckedI wouldnt make assumptions about any SW show before giving it a chance.

Ratings arent that cut and dry, they use sliding scales of severity. Infinity Saga MCU violence for example was on a different level than Deadpool violence. I didnt like either movie and only remember them a little, but The Expendables had really fake blood (actually CGI if I remember right) and lots of violent action, but was fairly light on the language. Likewise, Only God Forgives barely had dialogue, but it had violence and blood.

The descriptors matter a lot on how they define the particular material.

Honestly, MoM was tame (and I wont watch CotF, it was just an example of ratings descriptors). The worst parts of MoM were some jump scares, Elastic man unraveling which felt very natural given his power, the imploding skull that should have exploded, the implication and lack of visual details of Carter being divided, and an extended comical zombie scene with Strange. The person who wanted to go darker was replaced with comedy horror extraordinaire, and the original got to direct Black Phone instead so it was a win:win. Except for the audience.

Exactly. Oh I like that, some bloody teeth and a neck with some dripping blood! Thats so good. Wait, no, no, you cant have their fangs out and face transforming with the blood showing, thats far too scary.

I personally think a lot of conflict is coming from how dark or bloody they want to go, because new MCU is supposed to let some stuff in. But instead of having an answer or a limit, theyre just saying, oh no, thats too far repeatedly until the director ghosts.

Damn it. I already had almost no hope for this, and each time more news comes out it feels like a blow to the gut.

This issue has been a nonissue for my entire memorable life. Every so often some states talk about leaving, then if it goes far enough the federal government goes lolno, then the states sit back down for a few years until it repeats.

My job was never the same. Contracts that went away due to too much human contact never returned because those companies built the infrastructure necessary to handle everything in house. Along with other factors, I lost a lot of hope and havent been right since. Right now I just do odd jobs.

Okay, I think I see the problem. Latinx is an English word. Its not using the Spanish alphabet because its not Spanish. Its a word referring to people who may speak Spanish, but its not and never has been passed of as a Spanish word.
