pretty much! but i guess it's a testament to how good the game is that i as a non turn based game enjoyer had a really good time with it throughout

another complaint is that the pacing goes to shit in act three, i feel they could have implemented that a bit better. though i did love exploring the rest of the game in that part

I perfer wired headphones. Call me a hipster, but plugging in a 3.5mm jack is beautifully simple compared to messing around with Bluetooth pairing and keeping them charged and shit.

it didn't bother me until you said bluetooth pairing and charging, lol. i would have understood the audiophile angle or sheer laziness/convenience of plug and play. but bluetooth pairing? that's two buttons, and done. charging, some have docks, which is easy as shit to use, otherwise you can use a wall charger

anyway, i chose wireless headphones myself. i understand using earbuds, too, but i find headphones way more hygienic, especially when for outside use, and also i can for sure see myself losing the earbuds while the headphones are a bit harder to lose. and yeah, carry them around your neck when not in use lol

good point, same, but i did break my buddy's wrist or forearm while we were drunk, he hugged me and we lost balance, and i fell right on top of him. it's funny cause we were out drinking and he didn't show any signs of stress, but when we got home all of a sudden he started freaking out <_<

knock on wood but it's quite the miracle i haven't broken anything, that i know of. a childhood of climbing in trees and doing "parkour" (jumping off rooftops), while being an uncoordinated fatass. that along with a decade and a half of skateboarding and moshpits and eating shit riding my bicyle drunk on a bi monthly basis. actually come to think of it, i kickboxed for a couple of years with a lot of sparring and my nose is crooked, i think it stemmed from those days. does an untreated broken nose leave it crooked?

idk, fingers crossed though! at 36 i picked up skateboarding again and i'm fatter and more uncoordinated than ever so we might see a break this year

the only GOOD game from the original trilogy, imo, is GoW 3

i replayed them all before playing GoW 2018 when it launched. GoW aged horribly, with only the opening fight and maybe 2 or 3 other moments in the game being actually good. GoW 2 aged fine, but is completely outshined by GoW 3 which at the time (the time being 7 fucking years ago already holy SHIT) was the only one really comparable to my enjoyment with the 2018 game, and some parts it did better even (amount of epic bossfights, mainly)

but overall, the story, pacing, gameplay, exploration of the realms, individual bossfights in 2018 beat GoW 3 by a mile, and then to put Ragnarok (albeit with some faults but overall exceeded GoW 2018 in almost all parts imo), alongside it against the OG trilogy? it's an easy choice, every time

on a related note, i have never played Ascension but i have played and enjoyed the PSP games, and even putting them in the same list as the OG trilogy, the Dad of War games has them easily beat

If you're like me and you literally cannot fall asleep on your own, then unfortunately the only real option is sleep meds of some sort.

this pretty much, i take seroquel and it finally shuts off my brain, to the point where i can simply fall asleep

without that, it was decades of me trying everything and even a period in my life where i did everything perfectly like this:

* Read a book or take a walk if you're struggling to get to sleep
* Meditate and/or breathing exercises
If all else fails, reset your body clock by staying up all night and going to bed at a reasonable time the following night

along with a full day of work, exercise in both the morning and evening, and still not being able to fall the fuck asleep, laying awake the entire night and only MAYBE falling asleep after being exhausted for 24 hours

or when i do manage to fall asleep, it's waking up in a panic multiple times per nights, heavy night sweats, brain just feel fried instead of rested, it's awful

Gears of War 1

10 hour game, probably 6 on easy mode and there you can just hold forward and chainsaw everything to death. still pretty spectacular bossfights for onlookers, with a lot of environmental storytelling and graphics that imo still hold up

there's some plot, but mostly it's back ground stuff in an already decaying world and a soldier being brought back to fight in a losing war

tbqh i think that'd be a perfect game to critique
