Topic | Finished Better Call Saul Season 1 (SPOILERS) |
Blue_Popo 06/04/24 10:11:45 PM #1 | Fun stuff. Definitely has Breaking Bad level writing and some great twists such as Hamlin actually not being an ass and just a front for Chuck. Everything about chuck and his "allergy". Im not sure whats to come but I wish there was more of the criminal stuff. Id give it a solid 7/10, all episodes, fun stuff but far from peak breaking bad (mind you seasom 1 breakimg bad was far from peak breaking bad and this may have been the better first season). |

Blue_Popo 06/03/24 7:15:48 PM #20 | Dat_Cracka_Jax posted... Maybe after 2000 years, the apes hadn't been climbing and doing other ape like things, so they became more human like from a stature and strength standpoint. Hmmm would that change in 2000 years? |

Blue_Popo 06/03/24 12:45:06 AM #1 | This was a fun ass watch. Very unique. J This is one of the oldest movies I have ever watched. A lot of unintentional humor now but it adds to the experience. Taylor is a fun protagonist. The Simpsons pretty much spoiled this movie though |

Blue_Popo 05/29/24 1:04:07 PM #15 | humans also took way more than 200 years to build societies and such. Though I guess Apes should have it easier as tech exists for them to move up. Who knows |

Blue_Popo 05/28/24 10:16:02 PM #3 | Akuryu posted... Fury Road. Picks up where Furiosa ends. The Road Warrior is the best of the old trilogy. How connected are the old movies How watchable are they in this era |
Topic | Watched Furiosa (my first mad max movie- NO SPOILERS) |
Blue_Popo 05/28/24 10:07:55 PM #1 | Solid ass flick. The action was amazing. Chris hemsworth killed it as Dementus. The movie was too long though. The story outside of action was fine. Furiosa was an ok at best protagonist The sound design might be the best yet. A lot of the movie is vehicles in the wasteland and thats when its at its best. The last 3 things I watched are this, kingdom of apes and fallout. So Ive had enough apocalypse. I give it a 7/10, needs to shed 20ish mins What other Mad Max movies are worth watching? |
Topic | I think Kingdom might be the best Apes movie yet |
Blue_Popo 05/27/24 9:55:19 PM #9 | dhampire1 posted... I liked it more, but I can see why others would like it less. Fair enough. I will say, damn even 300 years later. Orangutangs are still the wise guys, the bonobos are evil, the white face chimps are the main good guys, gorillas are just henchmen If all are given intelligence, you would think Gorillas would rule |

Blue_Popo 05/27/24 9:48:14 PM #30 | Xethuminra posted... I can. Fair enough, the franchise was ripe for an adaptation. Even after last of us my first thought was fallout but kudos to them for nailing it as much as they did |

Blue_Popo 05/27/24 9:46:55 PM #6 | [LFAQs-redacted-quote] Pretty much but I am ready to crown kingdom as my favorite and youre right. The villains help Proximus was the best villain and maybe second best character these movies had |

Blue_Popo 05/27/24 1:54:26 AM #1 | All 4 are of similar quality so it isn't saying much but Kindgom was leagues ahead in visuals. The villain may have been the best. Noah is essentially a young ceaser anyways. It had thr cute moments the Apes movies are known for. Its also a great starting point Really enjoyed. 8/10 I have yet to watch the old movies so who knows, maybe the original is my fav |

Blue_Popo 05/26/24 2:51:24 PM #7 | Compsognathus posted... Yes and no. It did a good job of keeping the look and feel of the East Coast Bethesda games. But the problem is that is a very different look than the West Coast games had, which were more post-post-apocalypse. Can you explain. Which were east and west I only ever played 3 and 4 Also no deathclaw is lame |

Blue_Popo 05/26/24 1:18:06 PM #2 | Halo fucked up. Theres clearly a demand for great video game tv. Should have made an original story within the universe |
Topic | I can't believe the Fallout show delivered as much as it did (SPOILERS) |
Blue_Popo 05/26/24 12:44:36 PM #1 | It told an original story within the continuity of the existimg world keeping the same look and feel. Amazon has been killing it with the boys but botched Rings of power. They delivered so hard. This felt closer to an HBO production (a compliment) where they went all out. Lucy/the ghoul/maximus are the perfect protagonist trio (well maximus is just ok). It is slightly below the laat of us season 1 but this does get points for having its own unique plot As far as season 1s go, this is one of the best ones. Disney plus cant justify 6 episodes at 40 minutes when this is 8 at about an hour each. Sign me up for season 2 right now 9/10 |

Topic | Watched the War for the Planet of the Apes (SPOILERS) |
Blue_Popo 05/24/24 1:31:47 PM #1 | With the new one out I wanted to catch up on the trilogy I watched rise a while ago, watched dawn last week and war now. I think this was the weakest of the 3 but still solid. I am thinking between a 7 and an 8. They were ballsy to kill off his son which was a big part in dawn. Also ballsy to never use the same humans. That said the girl is the worst if the humans they have had. Also of matt reaves movies I have seen, this is the weakest (batman, apes 2 and 3). Lets see how kingdom does and I may even watch the 1960s original. All in all one solid as franchise. Better than the typical hollywood blockbuster franchises. Give me apes over blue avatar people any day |
Topic | Watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes first time (SPOILERS) |
Blue_Popo 05/19/24 4:39:40 PM #4 | [LFAQs-redacted-quote] So far best of the 2 but both good Scotty_Rogers posted... 6/10 from me Damn thats low but seems it hit with most people |
Topic | Watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes first time (SPOILERS) |
Blue_Popo 05/19/24 12:20:10 PM #1 | Watched Rise a few years back and really liked it, not sure why I didnt watch the others. With the new one coming out I got motivated to watch this and damn this is even better I went in blind and I was initially slightly disappointed to see it was years after humanity fell and not during the time it was falling. Ceaser is more likable in this and its cute seeing him as a dad. Can totally see why Koba would hate humans. There wasnt anything overly complex about it but it was effective. Slight negative and not to be that guy but sometimes the cgi was underwhelming Ive only watched 2 matt reaves films (this and the batman) and I really dug both so Im really digging his work. Will watch war and kingdom soon Im not sure wether I land at an 8 or 9 out of 10, leaning 9 but solid ass movie. Better than rise which i liked too |
