Seems a bit sad the big news places aren't bothering with digging any deeper. Should be big headline stuff when everything's confirmed.

Seems like the age of the offender at the time it happened played a part in why the sentencing was low.

EDIT: Charged as an adult but didn't get adult sentencing....wut.

And to further add with SF6, it also goes through the basics of teaching you not only how the general gameplay works but also how each individual character works and plays, along with visual examples, even to stuff of normal fighting game community terms like "footsies" and the like.

And World Tour mode itself will keep your ass playing for a good while at least, as even that has you go through the basics in much more sneaky ways that it doesn't feel like a chore.

EDIT: To put it in perspective, even with owning Smash Bros. Ultimate, a close family friend of mine's wife and kids got to playing SF6 when normally they would not have touched a more traditional fighter and managed to grasp the basics (via Modern control setup). Without the ease of entry, they wouldn't have even fathomed touching that game.

Street Fighter 6, and it has control options tailored for your experience with fighting games.

They'd probably would have to lighten it up just a bit, because shit, the story in it is just super duper BLEAK.

Point A is a self-justification for an inferiority complex.
Point B is from a superiority complex perspective.

idk if it counts, but there's a series called Hero has Returned.

it's an isekai, where the lead is rewarded their life back in the real world. the thing is, he's believed to have died (he technically did for it to be an isekai), and it brought ruin to his family and he's blamed for it.

since he's returned from the fantasy world, as a great hero, he's super powerful and ends up killing people after he gives in to his despair.

this isn't a spoiler, since this is how the story starts, and the "hero" and others like him end up being the series' villains.

Reading a synopsis on this, it's...overly bleak, goddamn.

It's the same thing, just someone more empowered going to a more mundane world.

I think part of the punishment for whatever crime the person did is being inconvenienced.
Doctor appointments can be rescheduled (though yes, these days doing so may push something important out like, weeks to months further out than what's good for you....), but unless if the judge assigned isn't feeling well or doesn't care for it at that date, then most folks are SOL.

There is no law in the US Constitution about the "right to drive," so it's considered a privilege. A common one, of course, but can be revoked depending on your State's laws.

In the case of Texas, getting convicted of even a single DWI can result in losing your license (for up to 2 years). Accumulating a number of traffic tickets per year puts you at risk of license suspension as well (and that's with paying them off!). Unpaid tickets will put you at risk of revocation even faster.

Oh, and being caught uninsured can also get your license revoked.

The whole damn point is a about businesses caring nothing but about growth no matter what and as a result, their product and the people who work in the companies as well as the consumer suffers.

Yeah, in hindsight this isn't going to reach anyone new who's already deep into believing hard in "cancel culture" (I think Stewart forgot to make mention of what such term used to have been called in the past, one such being "political correctness.")

There is unfortunately a distressing amount of young people who plan to vote RFK Jr. simply because "he's not Trump or Biden". Those who actually pay attention to his issues know he fits more with right-wingers and is why the Trump campaign has started to attack him, because they're worried as polls show he'd take more from Trump than Biden.

Rather, a young (would estimate low-20s in age) dude who's doing a campaign to get signatures to get RFK Jr. on the ballot in Texas.

We had a chat.

Him: "We're doing this because we're in need of a viable third-party candidate."
Me: "I can agree with you on that point, though remember, one, the deck is stacked against any third parties in the first place, and two, the other major one is that RFK is not the guy to be on the ballot."

Proceeded to explain some of the nonsense RFK had said which the guy did concede to. I wasn't mean about it, just being informative enough.
Still might have deflated him a bit, though.

Now, the real question is, how often does this happen around the country?

I didn't say they didn't use them. I said it was rare throughout the series, and up until the end of the first part of HNK (Raoh's arc), only those I had listed in an earlier post had USED such up until that final fight with Ken and Raoh.

HNK2 anime they became more frequent with the bad guys using such (demonstrated with Ken's first major opponent having a style that focuses on flinging plasma, and it just increased from there).

TC didn't seem to understand what I was trying to get across. -_-

Unless ki attack = anything that has a glowing aura, even if not fired off like a projectile (which, when shot off like well, a Kamehameha, usually is what people think of as a Ki attack).
