Even though AM2 had its issues, it was still a more enjoyable movie than most of the DCEU.

They weren't fun movies. All of them tried too hard to be serious. Granted, if they leaned too hard into that, they would've seemed too Marvel. The second Suicide Squad was a super-fun movie... but it just felt like GotG.

I also wonder if the Avengers benefited BECAUSE some of the heroes weren't as well-known whereas the JLU was mostly heavy hitters, with the only notable absence being GL from the big names.

That said, the MCU has collapsed spectacularly thanks to a slew of bad decisions and market fatigue.

Keep in mind that the two states who tried those big video game bans were California and Illinois (which got overturned by the SCOTUS). And the state with the most anti-game senators is Connecticut. Pretty clear pattern.

There's nobody currently within the existing pipeline who seems like they'd make a good president. A large part of Trump's first victory was a deficit on the part of existing candidates. He was up against guys like Ted Cruz who talked about wanting to nuke places until even the sand glows, corrupt Marco Rubio, the disgraced (and disgraceful) Chris Christie, Jeb Bush who -- with his history of lukewarm politics -- had to ask people to clap for him, etc.

RFK combines the worst elements of Biden and Trump.

Penguin. Because he's more of a traditional criminal, the character can have richer storylines.

I kinda prefer Penguin to Joker, although it's relatively hard to rank Penguin over Joker given the past few decades of great Joker stuff.

If I'm near a LJS, I'll seek it out. But usually they're at least an hour away.

First, because "the trinity" is bullshit. They just took the two most popular characters and added a third. Whoever that third was -- WW, Flash, AM, etc -- they were never going to be as big or popular.

As a pairing, it also never made any sense. WW's power set overlaps too heavily with Superman. It should've been a magic-user.

Second, WW probably isn't the third most important or popular DC character. And, more than anything, that might be a deciding factor. Because they WANT to push WW for diversity and gender inclusion reasons, but WW has a ceiling.

And, at the end of the day, that's the issue. DC *wants* WW to succeed. The problem isn't DC, it's you -- ie, all of the fans -- who don't care enough about WW. WW 1984 was a massive box office bomb. In fact, I think it might've been the worst-performing recent DC movie, and it's a big reason why the DCEU got killed.

However, keep in mind there's only so much space in various media for comic book characters. Batman and Superman are usually take a much higher priority than anybody else because they're proven money-makers. And, thanks to Smallville, a door was opened which gave a ton of other comic characters their own shows. All of those also take away a spot that could've gone to WW.

DC has done MASSIVE amounts for WW, probably more than for any other character -- well, more than any other character who's had this kind of a performance. Keep in mind DC wants its properties to succeed because it makes them money. It's not a lack of interest on DC's part.
