Yeah. Bethesda is going the route of companies like Bioware. By the time they have a product labeled as TESVI it is going to be utter garbage.

Should get his mods reported for the false description. He doesn't do 'unofficial patches' so much as he does 'here is my personal remix of the game' mods.

But the real question will be how long modders actually make content for Starfield. They'll certainly be sure to cry about how Bethesda 'breaks mods' with every patch, and Bethesda wants to spend years patching in support for new paid mods.

If I ever load the game back up in a year or two I'll be sure to check stuff out, but only after adding enough mods to smooth out the annoying bits.

But the Fandom ad is showing me college cheerleaders and saying that they're prettier than supermodels. So surely we can post some hot college coeds, right?

There's one with a spin on it too where the demon lord comes to this world and gets a job at McDonalds. The name escapes me at the moment, but it has enough fans that I'm sure someone pop in with the title.

Full Plate makes everyone look like a medieval Cylon anyway.

Too much for Hasbro too. They met Larian's passion with deadpan statements about how they care about IPs in their stock portfolio. They then went on to fire a bunch of people at Wizards of the Coast who were initially in the meetings to greenlight Larian's development of BG3. Reading between the lines suggests that they wanted some 'live service' components or predatory DLC packs added after launch and Larian basically said, "NO!" So Hasbro hates them now.

That reminds me, my Comcast remote has been telling me that the batteries are low and need replacing for the last 6 months or so. I can only imagine it throws that notice on the screen if it detects even a few lumens missing from factory spec on the IR flash.

IIRC Morningstars end up being decent weapons, combining a fair amount of speed and crunch on impact. One of the acts should sell a decent one in the appropriate store.

It's basically TCM but with much larger maps. It has the same problems that game has. The lack of "skill expression" will hamper any long term interest in the game.

Bethesda charged what, $2-4 for it? Blizzard was charging $20 for it in Diablo 4. I'm sure some other company would want to see that boosted to $40.

In terms of having useful powers:

• Orcs - get double damage dealt and half damage received
• Bretons - easy to hit the magical resistance cap and get to absorb 50% of hostile spells in key fights
• High Elves - always have 50 extra magicka and get a rapid regen effect for key fights
• Imperials - Master level Pacify effect on NPCs, lets you reset any tough fight, or just escape

If you choose another race it'll just be for flavor. If you have the Anniversary Edition you could choose a Khajiit for a melee build; but you said you aren't interested in them.

Eh... Burning Hands is not very efficient. The frost version, Snowblind(which was named for the dev studio IIRC), has the distinction of being the least efficient spell in the game.

To your other question, yeah, potions will flow like candy as you play. They weigh a lot too as they get larger. So you'll have to manage them with weight in mind.

Store loot is set per act, IIRC. Drops from enemies are mostly random. There is one sword near the end of the game that is obvious as a static drop.

You can also get rare modifiers like Elven on gear, which cuts the weight in half. That's handy for armor since they have a poorly balanced take on the all-or-nothing nature of armor in D&D. Basically armor does very little for you, maybe dodging damage from 1 out of 10 hits.

Yeah, due to how the damage on that scales, anything not immune to lightning gets obliterated by that spell. You could put a single point in Melf's Acid Arrow to handle the things immune to lightning.

When I worked fast food they had a button set up on the register for that request, so it must register on some level. Also, if it is a patty melt style sandwich getting it cut in half just simplifies eating it.

And, if I'm playing as a superhero, I'd rather just level them up with xp or gear than getting randomized cards. And obviously they're not going to be shooting at each other from cover but a bunch of dudes standing in a circle throwing things at each other feels like it lacks the tactics stuff like this should have.

There's an indie game called Capes that is basically grid-based combat, XP to level up, and each hero having team-attacks which turns combat into a tactical puzzle of sorts. It's a bit like XCOM with the RNG removed. There was a subset of people that wanted Midnight Suns to be a bit like XCOM and Capes might appeal to them.

It's certainly a thing that exists. You go from RNG card battles to light novel-esque social interaction scenes. Also, you're a monster if you don't pamper the hellhound pet.

So amend that 'most corporations that experience a period of success then'. Corporate raiders tend to strangle successful entities to boost quarterly reports, only to eventually kill the thing and move on to another successful entity.

Ultimately the old capitalist model of endless growth needs to be amended to a model that sustains itself long term.

Battleborn is just a drink coaster these days, but didn't the Evolve servers turn back on a year ago? IIRC the developer or publisher was like, "Well, we don't know what exactly happened, but enjoy the game, we guess?"

It won't happen. The closest it could get to happening would be if Microsoft pushed for it as owners of the company. Zeni would cite it as competing against their current products though and refuse.

Well, I certainly noticed the Castlevania DLC for V Rising. I think even if you don't buy the cosmetic pack that Simon Belmont is added to the game as a roaming boss.

For supermarkets it's probably just a ladder in their back stockroom that leads up to the roof.

If it is part of a shopping center there might be an exterior ladder behind another connected store.

Well, if you're in a state that allows for 'one party consent for recording' then you could supply evidence against the person doing the hiring. At which point the company would just push that person under the bus and continue on as usual.

These days companies wouldn't even bother with a rejection letter. They like it that way because there's less chance for litigation if there's only a nebulous lack of response on their part.

The most I did was build a giant tower on Finch's Farm so it could reach the overpass up top and then put vendors up there. This was a mistake as they fall through the miss asphalt and tamed creatures fall to their deaths.

If you haven't tried it yet, build yourself a flying platform 21 stories in the sky above Abernathy Farm. There's a ridiculously high ceiling for the build area there. I like to shape the platform like a makeshift blimp. You can use the Fast Travel Target item to quickly travel up there, but will need either two Acrobat legendary leggings(there's a guaranteed set in... Mass Fusion, IIRC) or a power armor frame to safely drop to the ground.

There's a settlement defense Creation that's supposed to be pretty good at filling this niche. It also adds a lot of really nice junk fence options that actually snap and sink into the ground (not to mention a proper assign-able guard tower).

Can't speak to console performance, but that pack works well at The Castle on PC. There's only one default spawn point there, so if you time your camera flicks(enemies won't spawn if you're looking directly at a standard spawn and go to a fall back option) you can take out entire waves with one well placed missile(at least until you go so high on the waves that enemies can survive, even if you boost it with perks and chems).

If you do play that mode though, don't count on turrets to be of much use. They all break after a limited number of shots in that mode.

For Fallout 3 it might have been because males appeared twice in the spawn lists, weighting in their favor. For New Vegas it is because the Legion keeps all the women locked up in breeding pens, so all Legion scum are male.

Don't stress yourself out when it comes to settlements. They're not that important and can be ignored for the most part.

If you do want to mess with them, aside from Sanctuary go for Starlight Drive-in. It has a large, flat area, and with Drumlin Diner nearby you'll have access to Trudy and Trashcan Carla as vendors(plus Wolfgang if you talk him down).

The only caveat is that you'll need to Scrap the radioactive barrels in the crater to make it safe for yourself and Settlers. Oh, and sweep it for mines a few times. There's a Bottlecap Mine that drifts around outside until triggered.
