Her old insurance company reported to the state that she let her policy with them lapse. Oregon suspended her driver's license and never notified her. One day She gets pulled over for "suspicious activity" for turning around in a driveway while looking for a friend's house in the dark.
The cop told her she was suspended for not having insurance. She showed the cop her current insurance and the cop sided with her. She wasn't taken in or her car impounded. For example, back during the early days of W Bush, my Republican friends said that economic struggles were residual effects of previous administration policies. Whatever sounds good, I guess. Fast forward to Obama and blame the previous administration for stuff, and these same Republicans scoff at you like it's crazy to blame the outgoing administration. "That was your own logic."
