Except you havent demonstrated how its hypocritical and seeing as I obviously havent seen the Vogue pics I certainly cant make that determination.

It's weird that Francis was in the show at all. By and large, he was a completely isolated character with his own full cast of side characters and storylines completely unrelated to the rest of the show.

Viewed Francis as a cornea threat that capped the boys antics, plus its not like he was completely disconnected.

Last I heard they might have found someone to get another season, but the deal wasnt set yet.

Disappointed Cynthia didnt stick around.

Diantha vs Lance felt funny because in a meta way it was a fight to decide who'd get clowned on the most by the fans since it was gonna be their last big moment in the franchise for a long time. It was "laughably easy champion" vs "doomed to be the fakeout final boss". Then again Lance got lucky that main game Geeta's team sucked so much that the fanbase had someone else to laugh at.

Not even sure how much Lance was clowned on even before Geeta. And Diantha still ended up being pitied by the fandom after her match with Leon. No one was expecting her to win, but, DAMN.

Diantha vs. Lance falls into the camp of makes sense on paper, sucks in execution for me. The anime wanted to emphasize Diantha being strategic, but ends up making Lance look like an idiot for trying brute his way through the battle. The Hyper Beam thing was something myself and others called out precisely because it was something he dealt with when facing Leon.

My point was Cynthia jumped at shot of facing a strong trainer (who would be Champion at the time), so its not clear to say they rarely battle.

While it's possible other champions do train against each other, the only one we actually see battling with any consistency is Leon, since even in the game we see him defend his championship against Raihan, and the dialogue suggests that kind of thing is a very common occurrence, which makes sense. Galar treats its Pokemon League champion more like a wrestling or boxing champion, whereas the others tend to be treated more as training off on their own and rarely battling anybody.

Because of the overbearing focus the story put on Leon being the unbeatable champion, but with said not sure why youre assuming the bolded simply since the other regions arent treating battling as a spectator sport. Off the top of my head, HGSS has Lance training/battling with Claire and the Cynthia jump scare in Gen 5. Pretty sure there are other examples of trainer like GLs and E4 members training and battling each other from Gen 4 onwards.

Note that is even weirder with the anime where this doesnt really work as an explanation despite toting Leon as the strongest in the world (bonus points for the fact Cynthias whole plot line suggested she never faced Leon).

Edit: Also, I think a personal wrinkle to the Galar hyping is that battle prowess isnt so simple. Gen 9 is give us what might be potentially be the laxest region when it comes to battles and gives us Nemona whos depicted as above even competitively trained students of Blueberry Academy. The emphasis on Galars sports focused style of doing things doesnt necessarily mean that translates into the quality of their trainers being better.

I was never aware anybody actually cared about Ash beyond nostalgia. He was always a bit of a loser and wanting him to win was just the same empathic pity people feel when they want Charlie Brown to kick the football or for the Rabbit to get some Trix.

Plenty of people that continued watching did genuinely care. Its the reason why a number of people were disappointed Alola was his first official League win since the whole thing was so damn lackluster.

Also, to be fair, there's actual logic to Leon being strong.

Galar is the region that most treats Pokemon battling as a legitimate national sport, where battles against the champion basically happen all the time, and so Leon, above anybody, has reason to train to be strong, since he literally has to defend his spot constantly, unlike other champions who are implied to not actually face many challengers.

Galar also gatekeeps who gets to participate, unless were assuming things like Leon recommending a relative nobody is common. And depending on how canon certain things are, the other champions are actively training and at points even competed against each other.

Also the anime handling of the World Coronation Series was weird even disregarding the final bit with Ash vs. Leon.

Can wait to how badass Genkai is in the LA.

One of the mistakes Biden makes is he doesn't talk about his accomplishments much so people think he's not doing anything unless they're the sort to actually look into politics.

Trump on the other hand CONSTANTLY talked about his accomplishments regardless of if they were real or make believe.

How much is much? Can at least acknowledge the issue being based on the media you consume, but not sure how much can be put on Biden or his administration.

Ive seen you attempt to deflect criticism on what happened seemed on a subreddit. We can see from some of the regular game boards that isnt working, and unlike CE theres no real way to lock out more problematic user (some of whom are regulars on those boards) outside active engagement from moderators. Which is a problem because most users (especially newcomers) wont mark if they dont believe anything will be done.

Honestly, that's what I think of when I think of comedy that isn't "safe". Jokes that make you say "oh shit!" because you weren't expecting someone to say it.

I personally can see the difference in shock comedy and offensive comedy. I find very little humor in offensive comedy, but can enjoy a comic that sprinkles in what most would consider shock comedy.

I think this is a brilliant idea. And you bring up a brilliant point about GameFAQs not capturing the Mobile audience. I've looked into other mobile games and was super hesitant about starting one. I watched videos of this one game, Brown Dust 2, but it didn't jive with me that I was watching a paid advertisement video. And of course when I went to the message boards, basically dead.

What shocked me even more is that I finally started a new mobile game, Blue Archive, but when I checked out the message board here, DEAD. And this is one of the bigger titles, with tons of fan art, concerts, and even an anime currently rolling.

So the idea of working with companies to allow users here to be the initial entry players sounds incredible. And this is something that always bothered me about GameFAQs; we've some incredible dedicated game fans who will analyze and document everything about games, and yet there's absolutely no communication between game fans and the developers. Yet you see AMAs on reddit and developers speak on places like neogaf/resetera. Why don't we have developers communicate on this board? They will be talking to their biggest game fans. This is something I've always wanted to rectify if I were at the helm.

We have users that attested to being just that and it hasnt stopped boards from dying. Youd probably find people on OT discussing Blue Archive, which just reinforces people just congregate to where they notice the most activity.

I'm surprised at so many pessimistic and cynical responses. This is a good starting point, though you just need the opportunity to be able to implement ideas... which will come in due time.

The negative responses seem to be heavily looking at the track of the parties involved.

I'm not sure if that is true, TC. I can't recall what the text was in your OP, but it does seem like I recall something that could be interpreted as sexualizing-adjacent. I think it was the pic of the two chicks with their bra straps and almost-cleavage level showing that got you modded, though.

As I posted in that thread, a mod on "Ask The Mods" stated that <u>Hornyposting consists of any posts that "sexualize" a real person or fictional character, such as saying "so-and-so is hot/sexy/fine/handsome/gives me a boner", esp. if there are scantily clad pics.</u> Doesn't matter what bodypart you are talking about, either, which is why the foot fetish topic got locked. Yeah, it's completely absurd, and I say this as someone whose sexual orientation is asexual with a touch of heterosexual.
There have been mixed messages from other mods and admins regarding whether or not scantily clad pics of videogame characters are allowed so long as there is no sexualization. My advice is to absolutely avoid taking chances with any pics that are not either screenshots or official art. That means no fanart, cosplay, or AI-generated images unless the character is very conservatively dressed (which FYI basically excludes anything save screenshots and official art of any Marvel or DC character)

If CE wants to hornypost they just have to do it on other boards. Obviously they are hyper vigilant about it here but there are literally dedicated boards for it in the community boards that has tons of threads and photos that havent been closed. Just go to the appropriate board.

I was genuinely thinking thatd be an option too, but once those boards start gaining activity then theyd probably be hit. Like the Hot Girls had someone post a topic complaining about its existence before, now that might be a genuine reason for its removal.
