Aerith getting booted one year also seems pretty unimaginable now.

It's pretty interesting seeing the contest attendant records. Sometimes I forget that some of these are in the contest at all until the round they're eliminated, since they're usually saved early enough that I don't need to think about them.

My one boot was also basically accidental - was busy and happened to check the topic at the time there were only 2 left. Even for Day 25, I was one of the last votes but that was just when I happened to check the topic.

I'll admit there have been a couple of times I've held my vote for a few minutes, but I'm pretty bad at timing/predicting the rush and usually just end up voting pretty early anyway.

I think I might've taken 8 or more years off this contest? I think I voted during the earlier contests and then just didn't participate for a long time. Can be healthy for sure.

I'm not necessarily even saving the same characters each round anyway. I like to mix it up so that way other people are saving those characters too. And if a character I like isn't getting that much support anyway then they deserve to lose.

Getting 45 Chocograss was pretty fun but getting all 50 seems like it wouldve been annoying. Good design at least to put the real important reward for getting 45.

Same here. I think I got some things spoiled to me but hopefully it was nothing important and/or I forget about them.

FF6 is one of my favorite FFs, but thinking about the individual characters, they tend to fall kinda towards the middle. Guess this might be a case where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

Cops werent involved but I think we did go through insurance to pay for damages to the other car. Pretty sure insurance folks asked me what happened and concluded I was at fault. I never tried to argue otherwise. I shouldve watched where I was backing up.

Yes, I backed into someones car while leaving a parking space. Pretty low speed at least but still unfortunate.

Playing through Remake and Rebirth (especially Remake), I've soured a bit on Shinra. It feels too "evil-for-the-sake-of-being-evil" for some of its ridiculous actions, although the individual personalities are still entertaining.

Voted Aperture > Shinra > Umbrella. Aperture is probably also "evil-for-the-sake-of-being-evil" but that angle actually works well in Portal.

Going by the stats in the last topic, Gogo is at least not the worst performing FFVI party member. We really need to get Strago back into one of these...

Funny that Breath of Fire 3 got #3 for the 30's and 40's age group, but didn't make the top 10 at all for other ages.

Personally, Rebirth made me more excited about FF7 characters in general, more than Remake did.
