I'll be honest; I don't mind the silly dumb Secret Lairs from different IPs that aren't mechanically unique cards. These are basically official proxies or alters like people have been doing by hand for years now.

The only issue I have is with how many UB sets there are rather than secret lairs. Not every one of them can fit the theme of Avatar/LotR/Final Fantasy. And even still, the original IP like Lorwyn looked *so* much better and with more thought than these sets.

Probably too late, but if you choose to play the other routes, pick Female Byleth on Golden Lion and the DLC run, but not Blue Lion.

Reason in spoilers: Sylvain will automatically join you the first time you ask if you're F!Byleth, instead of having to train up your skills and give him gifts.

Basically nothing's changed for Republicans, this was an orchestrated act of leftist terrorism that is the number one issue in America from the day it happened. Democrat strategists however are going to heavily discourage or abandon rhetoric of "fighting back" so they can back pivot to trying to "work together."

Barring something crazy from the White House, this has already begun. Durbin has already said that the left pushed violent rhetoric too hard. Expect everyone to disavow anyone going even close to calling Republicans authoritarian or otherwise now.

This really is the disappointing part. The trans individual has been doing everything right but she is still going to be stigmatized for corrupting a former conservative youth.

People were honestly just trying to cope because the alternative is going to be bad. How bad is anyone's guess, but considering this is basically the perfect storm of excuses, I think next week is going to be...interesting, to say the least.

The few I have that are right wing honestly take the piss about him more than actively sipport the worst of what he does. Most being military I expect it and just know to not drop politics into the discussion.

Which yes. The absolute way i unfortunately feel that is a reference to is immigration. But a more charitable (aka more people than me) person would read that is him calling out some foreign assailant that wasn't actually an immigrant and just had flown in with the express interest in shooting Kirk.

It's not the media reporting this. It came from the governor during interviews. So yes, unless he wants to be outed as a liar and lose any brownie points he got for preaching peace and unity before, he can't be caught lying about this.

No one with common sense could take any "note" credibly. If there was a note, they would have said they found it with the gun, and weren't going to disclose the contents until, say, a suspect was in custody.

They don't *have* to have it with the gun. The reporting states it was discussed on Discord between his roommate and a friend. It's entirely possible for them to have left it and for authorities to have found it afterwards.

We shall see. This probably all comes out Tuesday during charging.

It doesn't matter what tier it is. The only thing that will be seen (and honestly should be) is "individual in education shows children gruesome traumatizing video to potentially push their agenda".

The last part is assuming this teacher did in fact give a speech regarding anti-fascism and pro-trans ideologies. Showing the video is of course no go anyway, the rest is overkill.

We shall see. So far what I've seen today is that the roommate was transitioning, and there is supposedly a "note" found that was left by the shooter that they're trying to verify.

I'd say buckle up depending on what the contents of that note are.

It doesn't even sound like he's blaming the roommate, making it clear she's being cooperative, and had no clue what was happening....though you know that's not going to change anything about how people react.

These are the teachers that reinforce everything that Republicans have been saying. I don't see how you think this is a smart or wise decision.

I fucking called it when I posted in the previous topic about them likely to blame the internet and such after getting him.
I was at my grandmother's helping with something, so Ingraham angle was on. They were discussing that he was a gamer and played video games. This created isolation and for him to then become desensitized to violence. With him being online he was radicalized by the left/democrats to act this out.

Only took a few hours to find another deflection window.

A part of me would love to see them try to go after video games. Most of the male Gen Z vote would try to justify it, but having the Trump Administration try to ban and regulate video games might actually be the thing that gets them up in arms. Take away the circuses and things get bad.

If his point has been proven, I don't know what we're supposed to do as a society. This sucks.

I won't say his point was proven, because 90% of all gun violence still has nothing to do with transgender shooters.

The problem is that this whole event basically is firebombing any support transgender individuals could build up in the future. Resorting to the same tactics that you decry the right for basically proves all the "same thing both sides" people right, and just gives more reasons to point to them and suggest punitive action.

If this was planned, they wouldn't have to kill him. You don't *need* to have a death to lionize this situation. Even a failed attempt that ends with a transgender/individual with transgender support getting arrested and tried for attempted murder would get the point across.

On the one hand I don't believe Team Cherry owes anyone to announce their game early. They took the time and waited until the game was 100% ready and after 7 years they weren't going to make their fans wait for ages after an official announcement. They did good by fans and what they did was legit great.

But I do sort of get why indie devs will be frustrated. Team Cherry is already established hy Hollow Knight and they are already set. They know this game is gonna sell another 10+ Million copies unless it's absolutely awful. For a lot of these indie games they don't have this leeway, and now any game for the next 3 months is going to be battling for news coverage and play hours with easily the most anticipated indie game of i would argue all time for the next 3-4 months.

Unfortunately that's the business. Same thing happens in literally every entertainment media, just have to adjust and hope the date change is worth it. Better to move than have a Horizon situation.

This is probably just going to be him announcing that he's changing the name of Department of Defense to Department of War.

Anything else or an actual invasion situation they wouldn't be making an announcement until things got started.

Yeah. This one isn't false. She was in fact trans and court documents show that she said she identified as female.

Unfortunately I have a feeling this is going to be the spark that lights a very big tinderbox. People aren't rational and thinking about how many shootings are caused by cis individuals. This is going to probably make support for trans taboo on both sides for years now.

Polls suggest that this is an unpopular opinion in California. Which means...yeah, this will probably fail.

not sure why people keep floating the belief that people hated the end of the series because of what happened... not how it happened, and how quickly. I feel like a lot of people's issues with the ending is the stupid writing, and quick pacing of the final two seasons, because the first 4 seasons (where they had more content to adapt) were really strong.

But demanding that an author pass off their work and accusing them of being in a position where they're going to pass away "soon" which isn't even a guarantee is such entitled fan behavior that I honestly wouldn't blame Martin for putting the book on the shelf out of spite. Especially saying that of anyone that should finish it it'd be Sanderson, who from what I've read has such a massive difference in writing style that I can't imagine him being able to properly emulate the Martin work.

Basically now any states outside the 22 that sued for an injunction have no birthright citizenship. You're dealing with half the states working under entirely different laws on who's a citizen or not.

If they rule that this order is unconstitutional later, working out the proper documents for children of undocumented immigrants is going to be a logistical nightmare.

It's not for any ethical reasons from what i can tell. She's mad that it's coming from Qatar, who she's adamant needs to be marked as a terrorist country and that he's being bought by "jihadists".

Early on when you basically have nothing it does feel pretty difficult. Once you get access to a few special abilities and upgrades, it actually turns around and becomes pretty easy outside of the optional super bosses. Even moreso if you do all the side content, but that's basically any RPG.

People have been saying from the start that the goal would be to declare the influx of illegal immigration and drug cartels an active invasion and threat to the country so he could justify this declaration. I'm honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Gonna be honest. Even as someone who is trying to be optimistic about further elections, and I know others here have made up their mind.

But if you're of the belief that there will be elections, which the majority of people still are...why would you ever vote for the Democrats after these last two months? You spent 2 years screaming from the rooftops that electing Trump would be the end of democracy and that he would cause irrevocable harm to the country, that the Republicans are complicit in it. And now you're going to just...go along with pretty much everything? Agree and vote for most of his cabinet, including a 99-0 Rubio vote. Have enough moderates to pass a CR bill that didn't involve any Democratic input?

Basically, if this passes through, then any of the states that sued and got injunctions on the order approved would work under the current law; birthright citizenship and beyond is still there, and would be there until the Supreme Court makes an official ruling in like 6 months.

Anywhere else would end up having the order come into effect, ending birthright citizenship. All the other states would have to start following it at this moment. Which is basically a whole other kettle of fish of two different sets of laws.

Also yeah, this unfortunately isn't actually a win quite yet. It basically requires the courts to specify and try to force the way the contracts have to be honored. It's a "win" in that it doesn't just flat give them the cash without question, but it still doesn't compel them to use it.

Basically we're right back to "the judiciary can't actually enforce their rulings because no one is going to declare the executive in contempt of court"

Roberts has been...surprisingly resistant so far to a lot of Trump's pushes. He's also the reason that the Special Counsel lead is still on the job, because he could have just thrown out the emergency injunction keeping them in the position immediately. But instead kept it in abeyance until they can rule on it.
