1) There is no way Texas is going blue. I wouldn't even consider it close to Purple right now, so that's just not happening.

2) While I think Arizona is still fairly in the realm of possibility for Biden, he has lost a lot of Hispanic support over these 4 years. I doubt the border control executive order is going to help him. Similarly, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia are not as solid blue as you have them. That's an 80 electoral vote swing which gives Trump the win.

No, he wasn't. Trump was going to spend 4 years motivating the base over and over again just like he is now. Not going after him would have made it look like he was going to get away with everything and probably would have demoralized the left even further than they already are.

Anyway, at this point, I've come to terms with the fact that the US is going to put Trump back in office. The only question now is if we can survive as a democracy to 2028 and how much we're going to lose on the path there.

I would love to say I don't think there's a chance. But I truly believe people are short sighted enough and so adamantly single issue voting on Palestine/Israel that enough votes in 3 or 4 key states will stay home and give Trump the win. Popular vote or not.

From what I've heard; yes the pay is good but the expectations and stress is insane.

From what I've heard you might get a 5 minute break, and you aren't allowed on your cell phone. Even during your lunch break if I remember correctly. And I have a feeling that this is another scenario where the pay is good because they only pay 1 or 2 people and you will feel severely understaffed.

We're fucked in the short term for now but if Democrats take over and are able to replace Thomas and Alito in the event of their retirement/passing, you can swing the votes back to Democrats or at least more balanced.

A Republican presidency next year means that you will have 5 judges appointed by Trump that are going to be on the bench for at least 40 years barring major health issues. You're talking about literal generations having to deal with this long after most of us are probably going to be dead.

The honest truth with leftists/heavy progressive candidates is that they aren't willing to put the footwork in to actually make popular candidates.

Every single time I see these topics I ask and wonder how many people are supporting farther left individuals down the ballot? Are they trying to get progressives to win local/state elections and then slowly work up to the federal level? Because that's the only way this is going to work. The truth is that the grand majority of the US is perfectly fine being left leaning and not any further, not to the extreme standpoint most are, but they might be more open to it if individuals that were farther left were shown to be effective at lower levels. Rather than constantly pushing for jumps to the highest offices first.

But honestly ranked choice voting is what should be the case and if we were any reasonable country we would have gone to it a century ago.

I mean, he isn't wrong. The conflict between Muslims and Israel is literally as old as the two religions have existed together in the same time frame. You can be upset about Israel's treatment of civilians and also acknowledge Hamas is a bunch of terrorists who absolutely need to be taken care of.

Also, I hate to say it, but this isn't going to change anyone's stances, even if it's the right call. The people who have been talking about a ceasefire will probably move the goal posts regarding aid being shipped. All it'll probably do is piss off the Israel vote, which actually makes this a lose/lose for Biden.

Honestly, the background context of this makes me feel bad for everyone.

This kid was institutionalized because his mother knew he was this awful. Insurance refused to continue to cover the institution, then moved him to a halfway home, which then subsequently moved him back into the school system. The mother from what I saw tried the entire way to keep this from happening.

This feels like a failure on multiple levels here unfortunately, and I'm not sure there was a good way to fix this outside of locking the kid up...which tragically his mother was trying to do for people's safety and his benefit but it just did not get paid for.

According to Wiki there are only 67 populated areas with Springfield in the United States and I think they're all on the contiguous US. For 10M just take 6 months and make a road trip of it.

I don't "want" to vote for Joe Biden. I think he's too old, I think that he could do better with balancing the Israel stuff even though geopolitics and the Middle East is a massive quagmire of threads that is far more complicated than anyone that keeps on repeating "just cut funds to Israel" keeps repeating, and I also am not a huge fan of his VP pick.

But given the alternative, and the fact that it's a 2 person race, I'm going to vote for the better of two candidates and push for the primary to be better in 2028.

This goes back to the CR table not being well optimized though. Because a truly optimized and knowledgeable table wouldn't be using it on the attacks that already have a really good chance to hit. If the party had any sort of debuffs/crowd control spells, you use Silvery Barbs to force a reroll on successful saves and just ruin their day, or like you said try to give individuals advantages. I didn't watch the episode so don't know if any crits happened, but you can also just use it on crits to make them reroll for a normal hit.

There's a lot of ways SB is just way too good for the spell slot it's found at, but I get that with a +14 to hit in 5e, it's not the most optimal spell for the situation.

If this was a group of veteran, well tuned DnD players, a single boss against 7 level 13 characters needs to be absolutely cracked. Action economy alone would ruin most single enemy encounters in this scenario, especially when you throw multiple spellcasters into it. I know for a fact that the CR cast has Silvery Barbs as a spell (Which let's not even get into how utterly broken that spell is and why it should be banned outside of it's own universe of Strixhaven), so having a top tier enemy like this isn't the worst idea.

The problem is none of the CR cast outside of maybe Ashton actually build to their strength and are really well optimized, as evidenced by the Druid/Rogue. So suddenly the huge advantage in action economy isn't as important.

If they don't know how to properly secure our info and still want more of it by passing laws like this, it's on them when lives are ruined.

I'm sorry, but as someone who lives here. No. It is not a swing state any more. Obama was an outlier and it has gone further and further right as things have gone on. The only Democrat that I think is even electable in the state now is Sherrod Brown. Once he retires I doubt we will see a Dem win here again.

I'm honestly mostly shocked at the idea of Kiryu being #18 in the world of iconic game characters. Like....the Yakuza series was extremely niche up until Yakuza 0 and LaD catapulted it into the spotlight. Before that I don't think anyone was really talking about it. You're not wrong to be angry but it's a pretty difficult balancing act. The Jewish population has voted overwhelmingly for Democrats and choosing now of all times to go against them will also result in a ton of lost votes.

I'm with you in that basically this is going to cost Dems the election but it's still baffling to me. Single issue voters on this subject should see that by abstaining you're just going to put someone who is actively worse for Palestine in the White House, and worse for the US as a whole. The base was enough honestly last time if not for a record turnout of Democrats. All it takes is a few states not going that way and for the enthusiasm to not be nearly as high as it was in 2020 (which with the economy, general apathy, and the Israel support) it is far more possible than it should be and I'd argue probable at this point. All Republicans are going to coalesce under Trump. If even 5% of the voters don't show up for Biden it's probably done.

At this point I've accepted that Trump is going to win. It sucks and it's going to be hell for the next 4 years but I guess I need to embrace it.

I'd say I'm about halfway through by chapters. On chapter 6 and just got to Dondoko Island. And...idk. it's weird. Like gameplay wise it's nice. But Hawaii feels too big for its own good filled with stuff. The story hasn't gripped me after a very good opening in the first chapter and prologue. I think it's finally starting to pick up which is why I'm trying to ger all the side content done so I can focus 100% on the main plot and substories.

But at this point the only thing I can ask is.. what is the point of Kiryu in this story?

At the moment the amount that people they would say they need to "live comfortably" in retirement is 1.3 Million. They also say that you're supposed to be saving 15% of your income for retirement in order to hit your goals and live relatively the same as your current living conditions.

That is not feasible for like 3/4ths of people. Add in that the retirement age is steadily going up and is already at 67, the chances of any of us seeing Social Security or anything else in 40 years is basically null.

Unless you were in a particularly terrible situation 20 years ago, the time is almost always going to be better. As others have said; just write down everything regarding stuff like Crypto and such and invest when it's in its infancy and become a billionaire or at least a multi millionaire, and use the extra time to improve yourself in other fronts. Lord knows I'd give up 20 Million guaranteed to fix the mistakes I made through middle and high school.

The theory I've heard behind this is that it's a stalling tactic, and that they don't expect this to actually work. But it may be delayed long enough for the election to pass and Trump potentially being able to pardon himself if he wins.

That's where we are at. Rulings on this aren't expected until June which means that there's all of 5 months to have a high profile criminal case before the election at the best case, 4 months at worse if it's the end of June.

This is all to just force this past the election point where if he wins he can make it all go away.

If you let a single issue of disapproval wipe out the 99 other issues where Biden surpasses Trump by miles, and the 1 issue you disprove of is going to be exactly the same if not worse under Trump, that's where I have a problem. This is a 2 party country as much as it sucks and any electable candidate on both sides will support Israel, so every other issue needs to be at the forefront.

It doesn't matter if they don't win those voters. All that matters to them is that they don't vote Biden. They were never going to get them to vote Republican, but them choosing to just abstain from voting Biden in tight races is basically a net victory for them.

It's not a terrible plan in theory, Harry is probably the most guarded individual in the Wizarding World when he's at Hogwarts and Voldemort didn't have enough power to influence anything and definitely couldn't just up and kidnap him from the Dursley's.
