I'm curious what it's doing or not doing. Like is the condenser fan motor coming on but not the compressor, generally a bad capacitor.

Have you bought any cheapish window units? They work pretty well for at least the room they face into. I work at a grocery store and even they sell decent ones for $140. If I had no AC whatsoever, Id cut whatever spending I had to to put in as many of those as possible.

Ours went out last year during a 95-100 degree week. Wife was 6 months pregnant at the time so was extra miserable.

We had a home warranty and figured well theyll come fix or replace it and were covered!

Nope, it used old refrigerant so they werent able to fix it or replace it for free, so $15,000 later we had a whole new HVAC system (furnace was fine but it was the same age as the bad AC so figured we may as well knock that out too).

Got a fancy high efficiency system and now I can have it be like 70 degrees all day in summer and our electric bill is about $50-75 less per month than the old system being at 74 degrees.

I cant imagine going a month, at that point Id probably have signed off on an even more expensive new one

I can afford it but today is my birthday and my friend said wed celebrate it next weekend, so I figured he might buy it for me, so Im waiting. I wouldnt play it until the wiki is populated enough I can make sure I dont fuck up a questline anyway.
