Cause that's stupid as hell. Is it gonna be like Saw 7, where Dr. Gordon was alive the whole time, and everybody knew it, but it was just somehow never mentioned by anybody?

I'm pretty similar, except I'm late 30's, and I don't work. I get disability because of autism. I spend the vast majority of my time alone, and I'm content with that. A little bit of socializing goes a long way with me.

I am better than I used to be, and trying to be more social when I can. Back in the winter I introduced myself to my younger brother's new girlfriend, told her up front that I don't mean to be standoffish and I'm just very drawn into myself, and it went very well and she liked me a lot. Next time she was around she saw my shelf of books, and turns out she likes to read as well, so that gave us something to talk about. She was impressed that I recently finished Moby Dick, which is notoriously seen as a difficult book to complete. She was saying that she wants me to come out to their place for dinner one night, and so she can show me her book collection. So I guess I kinda made a friend.

How many younger people actually care about this whole issue? Stop neglecting the young, you need them.

Silver Surfer was disappointing. She completely disappears from the narrative for a long stretch, until coming back at the last minute for the final attack on Galactus, and does a heroic sacrifice, about which the Fantastic 4 don't seem to give much a shit about.

Not a good sign. Strongly indicates this is all about mass appeal and engagement.

I sorta feel the same. I'm afraid of it becoming mass-produced slop.

But, then again, Friday the 13th was never high art. A lot of the movies were just cheaply slapped together and rushed out,

We'll see.

How's a movie going to work when they can't use Adult Jason or the mask. One guy owns the rights to adult Jason and everyone from the 2nd movie and on. Then the other guy owns the rights to the first movie and Pamela and Jason as a kid.

It seems like the only thing they can't use is the Friday the 13th name. They clearly can use adult Jason and the mask, because they are.

I thought it was really dour and joyless for a Fantastic 4 movie. I actually miss the big, broad personalities from the 2005 movie.

Take The Thing. I felt like he barely had a character in this, other than being kinda nice. I actually liked his character arc in the 2005 movie, of learning to accept his appearance, and reining in his anger.

The person I was with legit fell asleep for a big chunk of the middle. True story.
