It was in 2007. At some point Reggie Fils-aime said earlier in the year at one of Nintendo showings he just threw in one sentence saying that there would be a September surprise. I caught that sentence and none of my other friends did. I was so hyped about it and couldn't wait for it.

September came and every single day I was waiting. I think it was in context with the wii. So the wii would have a blue light appear on it if you were connected to wifi and got a message. I remember waking up every morning looking at the wii to see if it glowed because I thought that was where the surprise was going to appear.

September left and there was nothing. I was mad and remember feeling betrayed and lied to. I thought Reggie Fils-aime was a liar and people needed to stop listening to the lies. I tried to tell all my friends at school but because no one paid attention to the sentence everyone thought I was making it up or mishearing things or misremembering.

Years later I searched it up because I was remembering this story and found little things Published: Jul 24, 2007 on different sites. I don't think there was ever confirmation on what it was or supposed to be but I remember some people thinking the Wii Remote Jacket was the thing that was supposed to be the surprise.

Now I don't get hyped for stuff like that anymore. My hype is now reserved for scheduled or even impromptu play/hangout sessions with friends. There is no let down of these because we're all experiencing something together. Even if we wanted to do something silly like play a mmo day one and couldn't because none of us can get in it still brings us back and just attempting it together is the real activity.

For me it's work that involves being in the cold. I hate having to go into freezers. Outside is a little more tolerable because it just is cold instead of having cold air constantly blowing. I get so irrationally angry when I'm cold and that would affect my work performance.

I remember my introduction to The Warriors. I first saw a clip of it on TV like in a mojo ranking style show of Luther doing the thing with the bottles saying "Warriors come out to play" and described it to my dad because I was curious. Didn't watch it then but some time later randomly some dubstep song used Cyrus' speech in the build up. The audio sounded like something that came from the 80s or 90s so I asked my dad if he recognized it. That was now two separate occasions I heard about parts of the movie and the speech made my imagination spin with what kind of movie it could have been. So we watched it together and I thought it was really cool.

Over a decade later I showed my friends because I was telling them about the PS2 game and it was not as hyped up to them as it was for me. I felt bad for talking it up like it was so cool when most of that came from my own personal experience.

And yet despite your cultivation, you still cant parallel park.

Are you in a situation where you NEED the money from working one day? If yes then suck everything up and go. If not then take a break for your mental health.

I've had places where I worked where I knew going in on a certain day was going to upset me and I've gone and didn't feel good about it. Then I've had days where I called out and felt much better. My life isn't worth me going and spending 8-14 hours at work for a day and feeling terrible. I can probably still make it to old age whether I worked that day or not so I'm going to choose to live that day not choosing to feel bad. That's my view on it anyway.

I would say Humongous Entertainment Inc who made a lot of "edutainment" which I remember from the Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam, and the various Backyard Sports titles. Maybe put it on the backburner for the list since I'm sure there are others who made more games for the masses and not for young kids.

I can still remember it very vividly. I was getting ready for a 10+ hour drive across the country and that meant having a pack of batteries, my little gameboy carrying case that held 6 games and the magnifying light so I could play when it got dark or in a tunnel, and most time consuming my pokemon games.

I logged on gamefaqs and looked at all of the things posted and how to do them. I got index cards and wrote down probably 20 different things. Most of it was just fake rumors but I did learn how to clone pokemon by turning off the power in the middle of the game saving. I did it so much I pretty much mastered the timing and when I got back to school I showed a few friends how to do it and we traded our cloned starters so that was the first and only time I had all of the starts on one game.

Murder in the Family by Cara Hunter

I'm reading it with a friend because she thinks she can detective out the culprit by taking notes. We're doing one episode at a time and then talking about it. I'm very skeptical that this is a mystery the reader can even solve. We're on Episode 4 now and the stuff we're learning is just throwing me all off.

Honestly I'm just in it to shatter my friends optimism and rub it in their face when we get to the end of the story to find out it's something impossible for the reader to figure out before the ending and all of their note taking would have been for nothing.

If I made it my goal to become an auctioneer I'd reach out to event organizers or just go to auctions and start asking around to get into contact with people and ask them. I don't think anyone puts out a hiring ad for one other than at an auction.

I would say it's One Piece. There are times where you only get 8-10 minutes of new content in an episode.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is a good one too with the Endless Eight being the miss.

I do for my critical PC parts (CPU, GPU, MOBO) because I've had 3 GPU upgrades due to this in the past when they would end up dying after about 5 years.

I also got it for my home A/C which really came in handy for a while when I had a series of problems happen year after year. Sadly that ran out so all of the visits and parts that used to be free would now cost me.

I watched him before his face reveal for the gameplay and random stories but now I'm not interested in his topics of choice anymore. I haven't even watched him since he was in DisguisedToast's among us lobbies and typically only hear about him mentioned in stories from other streamers I used to watch.
