That being said being limited on what you can eat and having to monitor insulin levels like they're a hunger meter in a survival game just scare the shit out of me. The idea that not eating correctly could lead to a diabetic coma too.

This is an actual thought provoking way of expressing yourself that is completely lost to the vast majority of people these days and the closest modern equivalent would be saying "bing bing wahoo" in reaction to an adult being overly obsessive about video games or any other hobby for that matter.

I am having an amazing time right now planning out goals for the next year. where at the end my intention is to find a more permanent place to live. Cost isn't an issue, but mainly the fact that I am looking to own a very small space. More than two rooms is excessive for me, but finding properties that you can actually buy at those parameters while having a functioning kitchen and bathroom doesn't seem to happen. For example, something like a mobile home is actually probably larger than I want (and the dimensions aren't good anyways).

Someone's going to go on a tangent that their 5 different half pounds of deli meat are wasteful and they'll throw it all away but seriously people lack meal planning ability.

Everything that can go into a sandwich can go into an omelette or be put into a calzone. A lot of it can go on a Pizza. Unless you're buying something like bologna, then you might as well fry it up or... just make sandwiches for a week. I like to buy some amount of cold cuts or cheese every week because it goes well in an omelette and I like to eat sandwiches for a snack.

Next week I might make a Calzone, but for that I might consider doing something else. Maybe Chicken Parm.

Also as a tangent something I found is that as long as I'm not eating processed foods (which I don't normally eat anyways) I'm not gaining weight.

Who said anything about Reddit? The stats capt linked come from a Gallup poll, the full methodology and results of which are readily available if you look for them. The main bias you'd be concerned about with those stats are that they were collected via phone surveys, so they're excluding people that aren't okay answering phone surveys, but I'm reasonably comfortable assuming that that won't do anything to confound a poll about sports interests.
I'm more interested in that the stats are collected by people who do phone surveys. You have to go out of your way to be involved in phone surveys. It's very similar to any other kind of survey. I don't know how many times I've had to, for example decline the Steam Hardware Survey.

Hive minds like reddit are not accurate representations of reality. Basically every niche (or even non-niche hobby in this case Sports/Baseball) are not at all representative of the type of people you'd talk to in real life. I could list tons of experiences I've had (and I'm not known for experiences) that contradict what is going on with reddit, so I think that Muscles is right here and it also matches a lot of my experiences where I know two people who semi-regularly stay informed about the Red Sox but they're both in their 60s. I'd love to shit talk and watch a game next season at like a sports bar or something if I knew of one locally (too bad I moved out at the end of the season).

That being said Hockey is on the table, I just can't keep track of when Bruins games are on and the pace of play is totally different from Baseball where you can pretty easily keep track of game state. I also kinda wanted to go to a Fleet game because they're hosted in my city.

Well a lot of them were from outside the Chicago area, sometimes when I went to other places but also there are a lot of people from different states and even different countries around here, so yes. I have talked to them outside of the sports I do like or adjacent to sports I like, though a vast majority still go football > other big 4 sports > other sports.

I'm talking strictly about people I have talked to in real life, going to specific sports boards/forums/subreddits isn't a good way of getting a general idea about sports
Yea I know, I'm not a huge sports fan, but during Red Sox season I go pretty hard and I'm the "Red Sox fan" in an office full of people who if they watch sports it's Football.

I have like 4 different laundromats in a 1 mile radius of me and 1 places that would be considered a diner. All of the laundromats close by 11 and the diner's hours are only 6:30-3pm. I also live in a city.

The more I'm out and about the more I realize that people just don't go outside much anymore unless they have to.

Am I seriously the only one who likes to go for a walk at night to go do something like my laundry? It's not even financially sensible for me to get my own washer/dryer.

Now i can understand why people do not buy shit at physical stores anymore. Amazon pushed everyone out, even for produce. The fucking apples I get from WFM are the same price and quality as the ones I get from Market Basket (this week I got some cortlands) but then again I'm not buying %0.99/lb totes from MB which would destroy WFM's pricing as the lowest they go for apples is $1.99/lb (so don't buy generic Apple cultivars from them like Galas or Fijis).

Yea I totally get why he did that now. When you're trying to plan around a menu, and you want to eat a healthy diet you end up gravitating towards the same 3-5 things and when living alone you eat those things a lot. I realized that it's genuinely difficult to actually add some kind of variety with your diet, and that basically every meal ends up being some combination of protein + starch.

So the reality is pretty stupid. Why not just eat eggs, rice, and sausage (changing the variety of sausage) ad nauseum while adding peppers, onions, mushrooms, ect to the mix? This is really no different from restaurant food.

To be honest the selling off of video game related stuff started off last Christmas when I RMT'd away both my Runescape and Path of Exile assets. This is just the next part of the process of getting rid of stuff I haven't had any use for for at least 10 years now and goes along with how I am donating a large amount of my excess clothes away (much of which doesn't even fit me anymore and hasn't for years). Clothing donation is easy, but i'm more annoyed that the email I sent out to the local game store hasn't received a reply, but that is largely because they are moving locations.

I think I could probably hardwareswap away the graphics cards I have. Maybe the consoles too. It's moire about getting rid of excess stuff as I don't like having excess stuff in general.

Secondhand store if you just want a safe place to get it over with and don't care about getting the most money you can for it. Craigslist if you want the most amount of money for it and can handle the awkwardness and potential danger (however unlikely) of meeting people in person. eBay if you want a medium where it's pretty safe but they do take a little cut.

If you do CL look into if your local police station has an area where you can do those transactions. Maybe I'm a little bit paranoid but I personally wouldn't go around selling hundreds or thousands of dollars of stuff in person to a stranger. An individual game here and there, sure. Aside from the safety aspect, selling as a lot will also most likely get less value than doing them individually.

Not like you have to choose only one thing. If it was me I'd probably sell the higher value games on eBay individually and then package some lower value ones together as a lot (whether it's to sell on eBay or CL).
Thanks for the advice about selling. I haven't really sold anything online before.
