It's just that I'm not drawn to a Submariner in the first place so this also doesn't actually appeal to me either.

But as someone who stays away from marijuana, I don't think speaking of its use carries any distaste or influence at this point. He was in the ICU. I think he called at an off hour I wasn't awake, but then he was distracted because the nurse came in to talk to him, and didn't hear it go to voicemail and left the phone on. Even though we didn't have a great relationship, it is still a thought that crosses my mind that it's of the last audible evidence that he was once alive. Like it's nothing to brag about, but it's just one of the minimum requirement keys for some places. Like you can't enter places or process thinfs without an ID, but an ID doesn't give you any special priority. It's just the minimum to navigate parts of society. If you were like a 4.0 student, that's only going to be as good as you weaponized it early on in networking and internships. Otherwise it seems to only have it's worth in getting past early automated filters. These misguided kids are victims of the systemic faults as well as the generation that brought them into this world. That's what motivates the rise of machines. Because one day there's going to be a more extreme divide been the rich and poor. There will be no middle class and instead the machine class to keep the two extremes of society apart. That kid is doomed with no future, but if you hold hope, maybe he'll be saving his friends from lethal robots one day. His money may be fake but hopefully his commitment to humanity emerges as real.

I lost my dad two years ago and I'm leaning to believe a lot of these processes are exhausting in their own way. I mean for starters we didn't have a perfect relationship, and his ego persisted through the process. I mean for sure he was clearly going through it. You get told you have pancreatic cancer, and what that means, I'm sure your mind goes everywhere. But per his usual self he just wanted to be difficult, making it a juggling act of being concerned for his life but also having to challenge him to prevent him from going overboard with demands. You live with that situation for a few weeks, or perhaps just a few days, or even just multiple stints of hours straight, you're definitely being realistic in expressing this TC. There's just this type of stagnation in the face of expiring time, especially when your mom can't talk. But you being able to be the vocal one in this stretch, make the most of it. It's tough, but you can kinda embrace the fact you still have/had the time in the hospital. My uncle almost died in front of me. Other than that I've only let go of 2 other cars: 2022 Civic Sport Touring; technically the CR-V that replaced it has been far more useful, and there would've been no way I could afford both, but I thought the Civic was more fun to get around with. 2021 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Carbon Edition; fun-ish to drive. But tbh like everything else sucked, especially because of the valve seal issue with my production batch. The CR-V, granted a newer generation, is a million times better imo.
